For me it's the principle. I dont mess with fake material things, fake people, etc. Speaks volumes about who you are if youre rocking fakes.

i hate fakes for the following reasons:

A. Its illegal
B. salty about some colorways that i wish werent fakes
C. quality is getting to be as good if not better than current "real" jordans lol
D. it supports ignorance (thinking they have exclusive shoes)

im sure there are more reasons but these are at the top of my list

Honestly now replicas are at an all time high why cuz Jordan retros fly off the shelfs if they even make there, and not all for people to wear but mostly to resell , people see something and think they can make a quick buck everyone wants to come up now not later on , it's the American way it's the culture that's America , it's the only place where we stand inline hopping and wishing we can spend $200 on a $10 shoe , look at other country's where food and clean water are real issues and kids pray and hope to learn and go to school , at the end it's America and its prioritys that are F'd up Not the resellers trying to cater to the newest thing looking to make a quick buck , if there was no market there'd b no replicas

i saw this dude at Champs with some fake galaxy foams... we asked him where they came from and he just smiled and kept turning his leg around like it was the home shopping network. we pointed and laughed.

why?

1) he's in a shoe store.
2) whatever it was wrapped with, or the vinyl sticker with the galaxy print was peeling.
3) he really thought he was doing it.
4) they're FAKES.

i love calling them out, as i did with spinner hubcaps and ford trucks with "type R" stickers.

Authentic Galaxies quality is garbage though. They peel like crazy

Is this a serious question? They are FAKES this is niketalk, but alot of people on here buy replicas that they believe are real shoes *cough* early release shoes purchased 4-6months early (Air randy).

Let me start by saying this, before commenting start with the OP and work your way down. This is relatively easy and quick since this thread is only 2 pages long. It took me less than 3 minutes.

Today's society is all about status. I dont care who you are and what class (lower,middle,upper) you come from, thats what its about today. Whether its cars, phones, homes, clothes, or shoes. Jordan represents a high status symbol (we all know retros more than others) and the feeling of being "cool" for the younger generation.

When you think about it, those same people producing fakes are doing the same thing other companies do except with one minor but major thing. Best example I have read was Toyota make Lexus. Generally same body type, but a big price hike. Buying Tylenol vs Equate, only difference is the name which is the minor but MAJOR thing the fakes are doing is ripping off the name. But in the end do you think JB/NIKE is hurting?

I will personally not down anyone for purchasing replicas because everyone has their reasons. Its a different story if you have obvious fakes and you brag about how real they are, but if you just are wearing them and youre proud then so be it. If someone can obtain high quality replicas and pay a decent price for them, then props to them. If someone takes value in a pair of authentics and is willing to pay $500+ then props to them. Its your money and at the end of the day you are happy with your purchase then that's all that matters. 

We as people should stop seeking the approval of others to feel good about what we are doing.

Several good points have been brought up by everyone who has posted their OPINION so far. I am not arguing for or against fakes because in the end its all about what you want to do with your money and you feeling comfortable about it.

Replicas of a $5000 shoe is cool. But replicas of any other shoe are always gonna be used to rip some unsuspecting person off, Maybe not the replicator himself but a reseller of his product.
