WHY HAVENT the Silver and Gold am97's hit mainstream?

The recent re-re-re-release silver am97, I only seen at stores like Atheletes Foot or Mom Pop shops, not big chains like Footlocker, Champs, Footaction or Finishline. JMadidas, any reason to that?

Reason I ask is I've been waiting for them to drop so I can buy during the past few Employee Appreciation.

AM97 were never popular in Toronto. They went from like $190 to $90 back in '97. The '01 or '02 silver retros went from $210 to $100 and nobody bought them. I don't even think the new silver ones are in Toronto stores.
