Why Is Sex/sexuality so taboo?

I was watching TaxiCab Confessions one day and a guy dressed like a woman hopped in the backseat and was telling the driver about his life. Turns out he ismarried and his wife is ok with him dressing like a woman and performing oral sex on other men. He didn't tell her until after they were married that heliked to dress as a woman and be a male escort. He said that she said she loves him so she accepted him as he was. I'm sittin here watching like "ifa _ ever said some *#$@ to me like that after we got married i'm goin off." I was thinking how embarrassed I'd be knowing my husband dressed likea woman and liked having oral sex with men and having sex with women. My question to NT is why is stuff like this looked down upon? I remember when it cameout that Will and Jada could be swingers people weren't really to happy to hear that. If people are taking care of business at home and everyone isconsenting why are these types of "lifestyle" looked down upon? Maybe its an American thing maybe not. Either way why? This is like the 4th postI've ever made on NT.

Yep, and the irony is that despite being the most prude, hypersensitive society when it comes to sex, we have the most sex related problems (STDs,Teen pregnancy, etc.) compared to other developed nations.

Go to Germany, they put the nude girly mags right in front of the register by the kid's candies, and with no covers over the nasty parts or anything. Theygot Cinemax style porn on in the day time, skinnydip even in public pools, kids running around drinking Laugers, and have no problem at all with profanity.There's this one song matter of fact, no idea what it's called but when the chorus gets to the part that goes, "Alice! Alice! Who the !@!% isAlice!" they go wild over there. I swear on everything you'll see 4 year old standing on the table reciting that part in front of their parents, noproblem.

In all honestly, it's not really even that much of a taboo subject any more. I mean, look at the type of things they have on TV nowadays. You have a showlike Gossip Girl basically centering around the promiscuity of high schoolers. The only thing that continues to be off-limits is probably incest.
