The free pass he has been getting over the years will continue here. It was always someone else's fault, never his. Now this wont be his fault, it will be the Mike Brown's fault even though he backed up the Brinks truck for the golden boy and paid him boatloads of cash and Palmer played his hand by saying trade/release me or I am walking away.  I am glad they said %+$+ you.

That could be the rookie's only shot @ that kind of dough.  Why would you get upset @ that?  Palmer got paid as a rookie and then re-upped with them when they threw a $#!# load of cash his way.  Didnt seem to bother him then.

There's no reason for players to honor contracts since the owners don't. The guy doesn't want to be there, so he's using the only leverage he has. Props to him for that.

how do you feel about every single player who has had 1 good season and then held out the next for more money, and would it be fair for an organization to "lock out" a player if he has a bad year and pay him considerably less money for the next season?

And I dont think what Palmer is doing is necessarily right but its obvious both sides need to part ways. You might as well get what you can out of the situation.

Props to him for that. But with the lower quality of the bengals training staff he had no business coming back as soon as he did.
Look at this point even though he has played since these injuries, Prob needing a tommy John, and a knee tear of that caliber he has prob been over achieving the past 2 years.
say what you want about bad decision making but pre injury he makes most of the near pick throws and the int throws.
