Finally binged the second season of Winning Time. They definitely were hitting the their stride with the series in season two.
I know the show had controversy at first due to its portrayals of the legends. But I thought it was to create characters and in the second season, it made them human and endearing. That one scene when cap got the records from the fans was heart warming. And Irvin’s pursuit of Cookie. Jeanie was developing into a strong woman. It was sad we didn’t get to see her become like her father.
This is definitely a show I wish another platform would pick up. The show definitely has at least two seasons. Loved the soundtrack. Loved the film like grain they added. It was a good show that was elevating to great.
