When Atlanta was on top.

(Not T.I. and Jeezy but, Trillville and Lil Jon)

I think it was like 2002 or 2003.

Throwbacks were what everybody wore.

That was bad.

08 has made up for it though. (Best year in Hip Hop in a whiiiilllllllleeeee)

nothing in the 90's was bad. maybe the sense of fashion was questionable. but music wise, everything was good. everyone was in their prime.

i gotta admit, 2003 with the throwbacks and the south movement was very bad. but 2008 is bad in its own way.....AUTO-TUNE?

Who wouldn't take that throback era? In reality though, you're incredibly unaware of all the good #*+* that released this year if you're listingLolipop as a reason why 2008 sucked. 2008 was a GREAT year for hip hop, so much dope #*+* was released, just because it's not shoved down your throat likethe latest Wayne single doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

08 was a great year for hip hop IF you werent listening to mainstream rap music that is. . . .

just because that year was huge doesn't mean it was good

everything was watered down that year

but rakim returning from a 5 year layoff was good i admit

the past 10 years have all been horrible for hip hop. Artists simply do whatever is hot at the moment, thats called biting and its a cardinal sin. Anyone whouses auto tune is NOT HIP HOP.
