Would This Count as a Defect on My Lunarglide 5?

Sorry if it's posted in the wrong place.

I got a pair of lunarglide 5, and the outsole toe area is coming apart. Please see pic:

Just wondering if this would count as a defect or normal wear and tear? I don't want to spend the time and cash to ship these out just to have them returned to me due to it not being defective.

I'd say no, those look really worn. You got your money's worth.

I wouldn't waste the shipping like you mentioned.
