For all you art heads out there, would you imitate jackson pollocks style on your shoes?

for the visual people, jackson pollock's work usually goes like this:

he's a great proponent of abstract modernism, though many say his works are not really creative or art-worthy. what do you guys think?

nah, id only imitate masters... i.e. m.c. eScher, Leo DaVinci, Van Gogh, and so on....... cant really see myself imitatin someone thatz not an originator...

I think Pollock was extremely original. Whereas Da Vinci and Van Gogh were masters of their craft, they did so in a methodical thought out fashion. Pollock, in many ways, was like Miles Davis, working out of spontaneity, making art in the moment. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't, but you can't say he wasnt original. Pollock, along with other abstract expressionists paved the way for modern art.
