I was having this discussion with my dad after the US Womens Hockey team lost the other night. Would you rather lose your way to the Silver, or win your way to the Bronze? This is obviously limited to a few sports cause only a few are tournament style (hockey, basketball, curling, etc.)
I'd personally rather win my way to the Bronze if it meant losing the Gold. You can win both medals with one loss.
In the case of the Women's hockey matchup, there was very little doubt that the US and Canada were gonna run the table on the way to the Gold game. Its kinda like, whats the point if youre that good, trained that hard, and your SECOND best? Maybe this is just me. Thoughts?
