A new wrestling thread! Yes! Yes! Yes!
After a long tour of Asia, Australia, and Africa, the WWE crew finally returns to the US. Not a whole lot happened on last week's Raw except for a very bizarre Mr. McMahon promo, Stephanie suggestion Daniel Bryan needed a corporate makeover, and Ryback once again losing to John Cena in a Tables Match.
We're now just two weeks out from Summerslam, so things should be in full build mode tonight. The biggest news is Brock Lesnar will return tonight. Punk and Heyman have been gold on the mic as usual, but Brock being there takes it to another level. The last time we saw Brock, he was destroying CM Punk around the ring. Definitely looking forward to what they have for "The Best" vs "The Beast" tonight.
There has been very subtle tension between John Cena and Daniel Bryan so far, but nothing to really give fans any real interest in the match other than the idea of Daniel Bryan challenging for John Cena's WWE Title. That of course isn't enough, so we'll probably have the McMahons involved in the storyline. Vince was really bad last week, even after all of the editing they did on the taped show. His age and work ethic is starting to catch up to him. He's not nearly the on air character that he used to be 5-10 years ago.
The Shield will get their match for Summerslam tonight. It's penciled in to be all three members of The Shield vs Mark Henry and The Big Show, but that is all dependent on the health of Show. He was supposed to be on Raw two weeks ago, but wasn't able to get cleared.
We'll have more with Bray Wyatt and Kane, Dolph Ziggler and Big E, and AJ and Kaitlyn. I don't know if Del Rio and Christian will be on tonight's show. And that kind of leaves Randy Orton and RVD out in the cold. Perhaps those two will face each other at Summerslam. Or they may just be keeping Orton off TV so it will come as a surprise if/when he cashes in Money in the Bank.
