Why did Casper do it? [IMG]

Anyways, I've always wanted to become a movie buff. Recently, I just found this nice little video shop next to my workplace. I remember how much NT talksabout Kids, so I decided to pick it up. [IMG]'s ensued as I watched. Great film.

Anyways, what are some more movies like Kids? It doesn't really have to be like Kids, but what are somefilms that y'all felt were just as powerful?

    and, no cocaine cowboys. [IMG]

That's funny, because before I clicked the post button, there was something in it about watching random videos.

    Great minds. [IMG]

Kids is not a great movie. You want some great cult classics check out:

    The Pope of Greenwich Village
    The Big Lebowski
    Donnie Darko

I just watched Che Part One today (I'll watch part 2 later in the week) and it's a great movie. If you can sit through 2 hours of Spanish and readingsubtitles then go for it.

    Some other great movies:

    The Visitor
    Traffic
    The Deer Hunter
    Taxi Driver
    Raging Bull
    Age of Innocence
    Illusionist
    Fight Club
    Me and You and Everyone
    Science of Sleep
    Fargo
    Barton Fink
    There Will Be Blood
    Little Miss Sunshine
    Elephant
    Gone Baby Gone
    Last Days
    Gerry
    Memento
    Insomnia
    Dog Day Afternoon
    American Psycho
    The Orphanage
    Sweeny Todd
    Terminator 2
    Pulp Fiction
    Reservoir Dogs
    All of Scorsese's mob movies
    The Departed
    Infernal Affairs
    Gangs of New York
Definitely, Maybe (not really great but I loved this movie)
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
    American History X
    Saving Private Ryan
    Se7en
    Million Dollar Baby
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
    Drugstore Cowboy

And the movies I'm anticipating this year:
    Shutter Island
    500 Days of Summer

I could go on for days but since the clock just jumped an hour and this will be my 6th time trying to get this post in thanks to yuku's incompetence,I'll come back in the morning.

I completely disagree, but hey, What's a goon to a goblin ? Kids came out over a decade ago so i guess you probably can't relate to it. Especiallysince you kids today wear your clothes so tight it cuts the circulation off to your brain, kind of like the whip its they do in the movie.

I grew up in the 90s in New York. Just because I can relate to this pretentious piece of crap doesn't make it a good movie. Kids could haveand should have been executed much better.
    Couple of more movies:
    Thank You For Smoking
    Apocalypse Now
    Blow
    Once
    Syriana
    Aliens
    Scent of a Woman
    A River Runs North
    Children of Men
    Brokeback Mountain
    Legends of the Fall
