Fire and Desire - Rick James + T. Marie

I got a funk band with a full horn section for my wedding.

I gave them a list of DO NOT plays mostly consisting of the same old crappy wedding songs you hear all the time (We are family, Brick House, Play that funkymusic, etc.). I Also told them to keep covers to a minimum and absolutely don't try to do a rap cover.

Besides that I just told them to jam out and feel the room. It was a blast, at one time the trumpet player was playing two trumpets at a time
while laying on his back. The place was going nuts.

Being a huge live music fan I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Didn't have a reception. But seating was to Iz's 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow", walked to the traditional Canon in D, and our exit song wasSarah McLachlan's "Ice Cream"
