New Dell Studio Desktop stuck in Power Save Mode. Need Help

Alright so today I just got a new Dell Studio desktop delivered with a 23" lcd.  After hooking it up it boots up, and the monitor comes on and says entering Power Safe Mode.  The keyboard is on since number lock light comes on, but the monitor won't respond to anything. I have tried it on another computer but still the same issue.  Also I have tried a different monitor on the new comp but it wouldn't work.  Has anyone had this issue before?  and if so how did you fix it?  I spent damn near 2 hours on the phone with technical support and those morons couldn't tell me anything, and since I can't return it until monday I figured I would try and solve this issue.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Could be your video card, but I bet it's the monitor connection or cable. Dell monitors suck, they do that all the time and hthe Samsung ones are even worse.
