Had my knee ditch tattooed last week actually. Pain was manageable but it's probably the most difficult spot to heal properly. Took 10 days before the crease was able to scab.

Don't really remember to be honest. I think the sternum was more painful than ribs but the sternum is just a small spot. My rib piece was done in one sitting. It was 11.5 hours of tattooing so I guess I'm the wrong guy to ask . I'm currently getting my ribs...
I'd say hes worth it. Cool dude and his work is one of a kind. Definitely painful though as he does 3 passes to lay his letters down. But then again that was on my feet and toes lol.
That still applies but depends on the artist rates. No ones tipping 20% on an artist that charges 400 or 500 an hour or even a 3k+ day rate. In the end just tip what you feel comfortable with. That tipping rule mostly applies back then to artist barely making anything and having a large cut...
Up to you. Some people don't tip at all and I've seen some people tip $1000 before. Generally I see people tip $100-$200 for a full day and $20-$50 for smaller sessions or pieces. Also all that changes depending on if they're hooking you up or not.
His U.S. pricing is $250 an hour, but that was last year. The piece he did on me was 6 hours. Yea everything he makes actually says something and you can see it once you know what it is.
Finally got a chance to add fellow NTer BJ Betts to the collection.

I usually have a good idea of what I want and always bring my own references. I'll usually have a few to choose from so the artist can play around with the idea. 80% of the time we've gone with the references or sketches I brought in. I give them full freedom on all the fillers though.
