I think Hammer helped with this bling era instead of getting clowned being the only way we remember him . Dude was pulling 33 million a year but went broke on that super bling lifestyle. 

Who do you start blaming though, It's clear that when it comes to the craft or business a lot of artist choose the former. You really can't help that people love this type of stuff and that some artist see this as a way to cash out. With the rise of the internet rapper you can't beat the appeal...

I don't believe ll has even tried to stay as relevant [musically] as the ppl you mentioned. Everyone one else has done feature after feature, single after single,and at least put out one piece of work. I don't think ll has been doing that in the last 5 yrs

I think all art is amoral bc as ppl we have the ability to create something that is somehow aesthetically pleasing. When i see a violent movie, its entertaining, when I hear old gangster songs its entertaining, I have no way to tell whether their stories are real or not  bc I like getting caught...
