I've got an 18k pendant that shines nice but it's a bit scratched up. I like it tho, I think it gives it a little bit of character.
if you want your gold to look more "pristine" I'd go with 14k for everyday wear. Otherwise 18k is fine if you're cool with a little bit of wear showing on your gold
another alternative is to order a few of the gold plated/stainless steel miami cubans off of Amazon and just return them once you figure out what you want.
I'd say a good starting width is around 6-7 mm. It'll look nice tucked in underneath your shirt and you can still see the cuban design.
the reason IF & CO won't give you the gram weight is probably because if you do the math, you'll see how ridiculously overpriced it is. More than likely you're paying a wild amount for the "labor" (brand name) and the knowledgeable jewelry purchaser will be able to see the jux.
do you happen to remember how much they were charging for just the jesus piece?
i've been wanting to cop the buddha piece but don't want the chain. didn't know that they offered to sell it without the chain.
with IF&CO you're pretty much just paying for the name. Unless you're getting some custom work from them or one of their pendants, I wouldn't purchase anything like chains/bracelets from them because it's disgustingly overpriced.
were you the guy that got the 5mm from Daniels who regretted getting 5mm? I think it looks pretty good, especially at that length. 24"?
EDIT: nvm, I saw that this one is 5.5mm. Looks dope.
Although I understand where you guys are coming from regarding buying 14kt gold or more...not everyone looks at gold as an investment.
And like I said earlier in this thread, gold is hardly an investment. You’re almost always gonna lose money on it.
At the end of the day it’s on you. If you...
I just copped this rope the other day.
just arrived yesterday and I love it. 3mm was the perfect size for my pendant.
has the barrel lock and also a pretty nice weight to it at 16.3 grams...
I think you might be misunderstanding....I bought a 2mm that was too small for the pendant so I returned it. the 3mm seems to be the perfect size for my pendant that looks more or less just like yours. So basically imagine that pendant that you have but on a 2mm rope. It didn't look good...
