The College Basketball Post

Eh, not really honestly. Zimmerman to KU was never really talked about that much, KU never thought they were getting him. Still in it for Diallo, Maker, and Mike Thorne from Charlotte.
Not getting Diallo or Maker.
Probably not Maker. I like the chances for Diallo though.

I got a homie that writes for 247. Apparently, Zimmerman's mom don't even hide the **** they be doing. UNLV definitely dropped that bag off.
You gotta pay up. I knew dudes being recruited by SMU that were getting the bags dropped off in the past few years. Hell, I was picking up my lil' brother from one recruit's house when the bag was being dropped off. It's sketchy as hell when you actually see it happening.
Is it typically just money? I wanna hear more details on this.

It's not always money. In Texas at least, the big schools have one dealership in the area that they'll go to to get a car under the radar. Usually a lease.

When I was a senior, one of our football players was being recruited by a well-known school and he got an Escalade. I've also personally seen dudes get jewelry, Jordan's, iPhones, etc.

My sophomore year, I was out in Vegas at an AAU tournament and one of my teammates had $40K dropped off to the hotel room his mom was staying in. Funny thing is this school wasn't even one of the top dogs in college hoops (think Ole Miss, Auburn, USCe) We knew who it was from because the "bag man" spoke to my teammates handler a few hours before.

His mom gave us like $2500 a piece and we paid off bouncers to get into strip clubs  Stayed out til like 5 AM. Lost our game the next day by like 30.

No show jobs are a big deal too, well at least they were in the 80's.Dudes at UK would get "hired" for the Summer and make a grip. I'm not sure how popular that is now though.

The car dealership situation is the biggest juug in college sports

When the chargers & new body Camaro's touched down, it was like crack in the 80's

I don't know specifics but Vegas is not that big, UNLV is the team here and a lot of people with money and influence want to get things going like it was the early 90s again. The guy who started Findlay Prep owns a couple car dealerships and is a big booster as well as Steve Wynn and the Fertitas. The Fertitas are Bishop Gorman alums and now both the football and basketball coaches at UNLV have brothers that are the head coaches for both sports at Gorman so there is a connection and opportunity for extra funds or any sort of hook ups for those involved with a young mans decision making.

Also Ed O'bannon works at one of the Findlay dealerships his nephew is a big time recruit for '17 that attends Bishop Gorman.

Eddie Sutton was a wild boy :pimp:
Haha Sutton was wild with it,money to Chris Mills, money to Shawn Kemp,Eric Manual cheating on his entrance exam....Idk if anything was going on but Ryan Harrow stayed flexin on Instagram, always had every new Jordan release, new jewelry, new stuff every week...

zimmerman to unlv is a blow to kansas. They desperately need an all around big man.

A Lot his stuff came from his NC State recruitment ... our hands were clean when he came to UK :nerd:

This

Remember a kid from a small school back from near where I'm from went to Auburn. Soon afterwards he's on facebook or twitter posting pics and thanking his mom for the new Camaro. Post was deleted in a day or two.

And I know a dude personally who won a new Navigator in a 'raffle' like in 2002.

Newman will likely choose between Kentucky and Mississippi State....LSU a distant third. With the twins and Booker gone the obvious choice is Kentucky. He says he wants the ball in his hands as much as possible next year so State still has a chance.

Camaros and Chargers?  One of these programs need to step it up to European cars for them.  Where's the bentleys and rolls royces?

I remember seeing Dexter Strickland in a brand new 4 door Masarati like his sophomore year in Chapel Hill. Damn scum bag program. Younging was whipping the joint in the streets with no damns. Straight donuts and swerving in and outta traffic.

LOL. UNC is pure swag if they're letting players whip Maserati's. I would expect nothing less.
