I know "_______ Album Appreciation" threads appear every week, and a lot of y'all are tired of seeing them. Well, I only make an appreciationthread like three times a year, and I just felt like making one.

Youdon't understand. This album has moved me in ways that no other rap album has EVER done. For real, in many ways, to me, The Chronic is a greater album thanIllmatic, Ready to Die, and other albums that most of you would take over The Chronic anyday. And it's not even the fact that it's from the west side(and I'm from Cali), because to me, it's better than Straight Outta Compton, All Eyez On Me, 2001, etc. To me, the production was flawless on thisalbum. Straight perfect. Dre straight murdered the beats on his N.W.A. joints, but elevated himself to an even higher level on this joint. A young Snoop + Drein his prime =

x 1000. The Chronic is both an aural masterpiece and a revolutionary product in the history of hip-hop. There is not a single skippable track to me.Definitely appreciated.

This album changed the way hip hop music sounded, Dre just took it to another level with this album. Til this day i still dont see why cats say this album isoverrated

Word up, because it's not.

Great album, flawless from track 1-9, but I can't mess with the 2nd half. I think he should have left some songs/skits off the album to preserve thequality.

10. The $20 Sack Pyramid (skit)
11. Lyrical Gangbang
12. High Powered
13. The Doctor's Office (skit)
14. Stranded On Death Row
15. The Roach (Outro)
16. $%#!@%# Ain't Sh..

"I wanna ask you one question
If I had some nuts, hangin on the walls, what did I have honey?"
I said, "Darling you'd have some walnuts."
She said, "Well.. daddy if I had some nuts
on my chest, would those be chestnuts?"
I said, "Hell yes!"
She said, "Well daddy if I had nuts under my chin
would those be chin-nuts?"
I said, "Hell no +%*@* you'd have a 8========D in your mouth!"

Probably my second or third favorite album of all time. Words can't describe how I feel for this album. I can assure you we will never receive anythinglike this again..an album that exposed so much new and raw talent. Appreciated.

Def appreciated! One of THE best rap albums ever, and (IMO) contains the best rap song EVER ( Nuthin' but a "G" Thang). This and 2PACs All EyezOn Me are my two favorite rap albums of all time.

Is it safe to say that people only appreciate this album based off Dre's production more than Dre's lyrics?
