He's bummed. He and his co-worker turned over pics taken of the kids running and gave a videotaped statement. Looks like 42 Division is actually making efforts. Kijiji is turning over IPs cause it's a Robbery.
He said four detectives showed up and are going to pull surveillance. He's definitely out the shoes but I wouldn't be surprised if they catch them considering the manpower they brought in.

Damn, if it's four detectives then your friend might not be the first victim. I read about some kids robbing ppl, and the cops eventually set them up for a meetup and arrested them when they tried robbing the cops.

I was selling black/Metallic 5s from 2011 before the 2016s dropped and had posted on kijiji. This guy dropped that 100 wingarden address for me to come meet him there. A couple things didnt sit right with me. One, he wouldn't meet anywhere else but there, and two, he said he'd add cash for my time. Three, the location itself. If anyone knows how people lowball on kijiji all the time, combined with location and refusal to meet elsewhere, I stopped communication altogether.
Hopefully it works out for the dude who got jacked. That's terrible to hear.

YO! I just got an email from the same dude two days ago. Hit me up asking when I can meet up and when I told him my schedule he said to meet at that address. Right away I told dude I'm not meeting at your address, I'm strict when it comes to meetup locations and told him he can meet me at one of the malls in the area (STC or Fairview). Never got a response after that. I knew right away it was a guy(s) trying to rob cats.
For all you teenagers or folks under 25, please be smart. Never meet at a person's house, a random address, an odd subway station (i get sketchy folks who want to meet at Islington, Finch, Kipling, Kennedy stations), a coffee shop, or random locations in the suburbs. ONLY, ONLY, ONLY do meetups at shopping malls, banks during business hours, police stations, or busy areas in the city during business hours (Starbucks, Union Station, Brookfield Place).
You should never be that desperate or thirsty to meet at a random address like that, even if it's the person's residence.

ALWAYS. Always meet inside malls, especially in the suburbs where if you do any other random location there won't be big crowds or police/security presence.
Just be smart and think of where you'll be going and spending the day in advance. If you're walking by yourself or waiting for a bus after school, walking through a park by yourself be aware. If you're spending a Saturday checking out sneaker stores and going shopping in Yorkville or Queen West, you're fine. If you're wandering around somewhere late night where it isn't busy, or waiting at bus stop at night, or in a quiet area of a subway station at night be aware.
Once he told me the location and I saw it was on Crow Trail I knew it was a setup. A part of me still wanted to go with a friend or two just to confront these guys.
Pretty much. Even if it wasn't Crow Trail, once you saw it was a random *** address you should've kept it moving. If he wasn't willing to meet at STC (Malvern Town Centre is too empty that I wouldn't even choose that as a option) I would be on to the next one.
That's bad advice too unless it's a busy Starbucks or Timmies in the city, even then that's not a great idea.

Is there a specific detective working on the case that people can contact? I don't see these kids stopping, would be best if people get an email from these guys with a meetup date/time to contact the main detective working on the case so they can catch these guys in the act.
The person on Kijiji that contacted me wanted to meet at that address today (Wednesday) at 5pm. Name comes up as Sammy in the email, doesn't show his actual email addy since his mail settings is done through Kijiji's emailing service.

Apparently, Police work with Kijiji to send over IPs after a police report has been initiated. It would be nice to see these bum kids get a criminal record for a pair of J's. Sneaker culture is already crazy enough, don't need crime to go along with it.

Had a listing up on Kijiji, got contacted and the buyer wanted me to go to the Wingarden place as well. Was willing to even pay more than my asking which is already a red flag. Said that he has a 1 year old kid and thats why he was not able to go anywhere. He then called me with a Houston Texas phone number to try and convince me to meet him. We agreed to meet up at STC after the call, but then i decided this guy was way too sketch and I just bailed on the deal.
2nd deal I've walked away from after not having a good feeling. You guys may want to watch out for another guy with last name Sarkozy or something like that. Can't remember his first name., anyways pretty much same thing, wanted me to meet him at his spot, said will only meet up at mall. Once he was at the mall, kept wanting me to go out to parking lot when it was dark outside. Usually buyers want to inspect the shoe for legitimacy in the light. So again another red flag, kept insisting for me to meet him in parking lot. I entered the mall through a diff entrance and saw 3 guys posted up. Walked away from the deal.

UPS charges duties plus a brokerage fee for bringing it through customs.
You can avoid the brokerage by clearing it through customs yourself
