**..:The Official Jewelry Thread Vol. 11: You get a Jesus piece! You get a Jesus piece! Everybody gets a Jesus piece:..**

I don't see the issue with the the pic and caption with 50's son. Am I missing something? There must be something that happened prior.

I would go with the 6mm in 14k.

10k wasn't even considered real gold until the recession hit and jewelers needed a way to make stuff cheaper.

I would personally feel better with the 14k 6mm versus the 7mm 10k on my neck
Appreciate the input homie. Thank you.

So slowbucks got beat and robbed on stage and 50 wore his chain :nerd:..... Is this true

Whats up gentlemen, I'm new to the forum and am looking at purchasing a cuban from Daniel's in the next week or 2. I'm looking at either the 6mm in 14k or the 7mm in 10k (both 30 inches long). My budget is roughly $3,000. The 10k 7mm is $2700 compared to the 6mm in 14k for $3100. The 7mm in 14k jumps to $4200 which is out of my budget so it's not an option. Anyone have a 10K chain from Daniels? Most the videos they have on their site and on Youtube display 10k chains (you can see the stamp on them in the vids) and they have very nice color and look super clean. Just wondering people's thoughts/opinions/advice is on getting a bigger chain in 10k vs. a smaller chain in 14k.

Any input is much appreciated. Peace.

Jay
I have both 10k and 14k and you cant tell the difference. You can start telling a difference at 18k and daniels probably plates their 10k & 14k chains in 18k anyway to give them a nice rich color. 10k def wont give you a reaction and whoever says it will is lying. Most people in the uk wear 9k gold and it even looks the same. In the end just get whatever chain looks better.

If you have gold that is scratched up buy one of these things. Its hard to get in small crevices but on flat or curved surfaces it works perfect. It has a light file on one side and a buffer on the other. It will make you stuff shine and look new. Picked mine up at a local drug store.

Im talking about yellow gold because the guy was asking about the yellow gold cubans. Yellow gold is usually copper, silver, gold.

And ALL of these Jewelers are vying SEVERELY to be the next Jacob..build a celeb client list & who gives a f about the lil guy inspired by the celeb to stacc they money & make a modest purchase..they're fame chasers gentlemen! Plain & simple..goldensun post the most disrespectful multi million dollar pieces in a forum where the most expensive piece I've seen a nt reg post is maybe a Jacob or day-date 2 lol icebox makes sure to drop in & post his celeb pics in monthly..it's like not even about money anymore..it's about who's who is hanging with who's who..like twitter or ig lol smh but that's the world we live in
Rarely do we ever talk about our celeb clients. Our main store and every day people are our main clients. We know most by first name basis as many families through generations have come to our store. I could post more engagement ring pics but I'm not sure NT would want that. That's why I post the stuff you guys might like. We welcome you to come visit our store and hang out with us for the day.. then you can see how much we don't care nor want to be Jacob.

I think most on here who have talked with me on the phone or via message / email could tell you I'm pretty down to earth and get back in a relatively timely manner. I do get about 200+ emails a day so I try and respond to all of them.
Where do you guys go to have gold tested. I tried going to a few chain jewelers today and they were like they can't test gold, only diamonds.
lolwut...

We use the laser or pen.. Acid is old school. If the place doesn't buff your stuff after they scratch it then that's bad business.

I tried another jewelry spot to test my chain but he would have had to dig into the chain so I was like no thanks. He weighed and visually inspected it and said everything was on point though.

Its a Daniels chain I bought last year. I never had any doubts but with y'all talking about LAX and Highline Jewelry scamming people, y'all made me get my stuff checked out.

To be fair until now Ive never heard of LAX scamming anyone or doing anyone dirty, Ben said he was a honest and good dude, icebox said he was they peeps and lots of other people have consigned him. now there has always been complaints about his communication though but that's a different story. that's why I'm interested to see what lax has to say about this situation

@223 at ya werent you just with him???
What did he say about the situation :nerd:

Thanks for the input. Although the 10k doesn't have as much gold content as the 14, I gotta admit, those 10k cubans that are displayed in Daniels videos look very clean. He told me himself through email that they both look the same. You can see the 10k stamps very clearly when they are spinning the chains around in the beginning of the videos. I was leaning towards the 6mm in 14k but am giving alot more more consideration to the 10k 7mm. I'd save about 300 bucks going that route also. Im going to post a couple pics he sent me comparing the size and color difference of the 6mm in 14k and the 7mm 10k. Thanks again to everyone for their feedback.

How long are you planning on keeping the chain? It's always better to go with 14k, even if that means you won't be getting the chain as early as you wanted. You might regret you're purchase down the road dropping $3k on less than 50% gold chain.

It's also possible they plate their 10k with 18k gold to give it a more lustrous look, but if you're going to be wearing it a lot and wash it it'll eventually look dull.

I apologize. I tried to upload these from my iPhone which didn't seem to work out to well. Fixed.

You have have to pick 14k over 10k, size diff isn't even that much to justify the 10k (my opinion only)
