those are pretty tough

Just picked this up last night for daily wear. Unworn 2013 model Breitling Avenger Seawolf 45mm on rubber diver strap.  Likely going to get a diamond bezel for it pretty soon.

I also have  a gold Bell & Ross Br01-94 that I had been wearing daily since I picked it up a few months ago.  Gold watches are not practical for everyday wear.......

I'm sure these guys would have got called out by one of the Jewelers on here if they were posting pics of fake watches. Serial numbers and certificates get faked just like anything else anyway.

Question ? Arent there companies that make aftermarket rolex movement parts ? And arent there aftermarket cases and bracelets ? Can the jeweler just replace the clasps of a 18k dd and now it will have a crown and when opened have the genuine engravings ? If so. Then who can I hire to accompany me on buying a watch in Dtla from for example LAX ? And inspect the whole watch ?

Why give a known scammer your business ?

I havent bought a watch from him. Ive gotten jewels refixed, and stuff polished. Alot of stuff I read about him I never witnessed, but wouldnt surprise me. Im not his friend, but Ive hung with him a couple of times. Not lately. Money dont buy loyalty.

There's aftermarket everything for everything. Hell, there's even aftermarket parts OF aftermarket parts. The quality is simply not there, the materials used are usually hot garbage, and it destroys the value of the watch.

Especially if you're in L.A there has to be wayyy better options for a Rolex.

Yup. Aftermarket parts in a Rolex are a no go. I have a friend who used to post here who received a Rolex with all types of aftermarket parts. The guys at Icebox fixed it for him and he has been real happy with their service(the watch didn't come from them, they just straightened it out). There are people who can rebuild gold Rolex president bracelets when they are worn out and loose for 3k or less. Do you have any experience with that? I would imagine that even a 36mm official Rolex gold presi bracelet would be at least $10k.

Problem is, cats are not looking to pay retail on a new or used Rolex. They are looking for mid 1960s presidentials with aftermarket bracelets. Lol

I've seen nice quality all gold day/dates go for 10-12k. You are right tho, they usually are old as dirt or have a loose stretched out bracelet, and are filled with aftermarket parts. I have never seen one go for less than 10k, even a raggledy one. You will spend 2-3x that for a big face pressy. The Day Date 2 has been discontinued and a new smaller sleeker 40mm Pressy will take it's place.

I personally would not pay 10 stacks for a watch from 1961 regardless of the brand.  A diamond bezel makes no difference to me.  If you want a watch with a gold case, there are so many options to choose from in the 7500-10000 range.

It only took me a few months wearing my gold Bell & Ross to realize solid gold watches are not meant for everyday wear.

cant imagine what it must be like wearing a 60 year rolex as your daily watch..........

Shoutout to Rey on the Cuban and Mo, Will and the icebox family for the heysus [emoji]128526[/emoji]

From the other day but this is great, what color gems are in the eyes though?  Looks like blue in one and clear in the other.  (picture not in the quote cause that gets redundant at times).

They are blue. The flash makes them look Clear depending how close I take the pic with the flash

I am yeah.  I'm about to pull the trigger on a rose gold Daytona, 44k Canadian after tax, and after arguing my AD down to his lowest

May be passed on an older Rolex DJ 16013 model. The engravings on the casing looks good but I also had a local jeweler inspect from the inside to assure original rolex movement. He says it is original and genuine 3035 caliber. I just wanted to get a second opinion, any thoughts? Thanks
