Kid Rock Droppin The N- Bomb & Carson Daly Call Lloyd Banks "Tony Banks"

My logic? I don't know if you were talking to me, but where did I say I use the word? 2 wrongs don't make a right in thisinstance....people always have the argument, "well, we've turned the word into something positive....something we used in everyday conversation." That doesn't make it ANY less demeaning, no matter who says it IMO....but, to each his own.

How do people act when this word comes up, and what's wrong with it?

I genuinely want you to break it down for me.

so I guess you all have no reason to be making threads about Khaled then.

90% of the cats is here commenting...ain't black anyway.

Got a dude named Ngyuen talking about why he should get a pass for saying _.

You can't even really sweat these clowns in here. You seen the faces behind the SNs in the PYP.

Personally, thats not something that moves me at all. But he wouldn't be around me letting that word fly like that on the daily.
I agree...

out of curiosity...all you dudes co-signing to Kid Rock, and see nothing wrong with him using the "N" word, what race are you? No matter HOW you try to look at it, he said the word....I don't care if he was adopted into a black family...he has no business saying it, and the fact that some of you have no problem with it is ridiculous. There's no difference between Kid Rock, Michael Richards, and DJ Khaled....
Im a Nygga from Birmingham, AL where all that racist stuff used to happen at and I dont have a problem with this

[Soulja Boy] WHY? [Soulja Boy]

Because I have a sense of humor and Kid Rock is as black as a white man can get

Some of yall need to loosin up and realise times have changed for the better
So, you excuse him saying it because he's "as black as a white man can get?" So every white dude who listens to hip-hop 24-7 should get the pass when using the N word in common conversation, right? White people throwing the N word in your face with NO repercussions isn't a sign of times changing for the better. They are disrespecting you and your race, and you just accept it.

Good one...
I dont consider what he said to be the N word

The word ngr has weight and a long history of hate

the word nga has no weight and its a preference of who u would let get away wit talkin to u like that like many other words. If one of my boys call me a fk ngaI might laugh it off or somethin but if someone who doesnt have that right in my eyes I would have to find out where his momma stay

Haze, I swear to G thats exactly what I was thinkin while reading thru this thread
laugh.gif
....most of these dudes really not black, so they actually happy to see Kid Rockuse it freely, prolly feel like it vindicates them cuz they use it on the low/wanna use it so bad, makes them feel warm inside prolly....

that being said, Im not offended at the word, nor am I shocked Kid Rock of all white people uses it lol (boi grew up with White Boy Rick for cryin out loud),Im not naive, obviously a lot of white people who grew up during the hiphop era uses it in they own space and all that, whateva......but that dont mean he getsa "pass" tho. Its just not that serious in that situation....but he's from the blackest city in America, trust he knows where he can and cant getaway with that. He would never come thru wit no bullshii like that in the city around people he unfamilar with (not that he'd be in the city to begin wit,but he knows)...

you dudes getting mad at dude for using that word. I assume you guys don't listen to any rapper thats not black because they use that word huh? Check Pun, Pitbull, Khaled etc... off the list then.

You dudes wouldn't last in cali with that. We say that @#$ all the time like its nuthin. You would hear it ALL the time and be SALTY your whole stay here.
laugh.gif
Im sure you NY cats hear it from a lot of latin dudes over there. You tell everybody not to say it?
Latinos have gotten a pass (by a majority anyway) for a while now - and by pass, pass means that for the most part, you can be around blackpeople you dont know and use the word, and we wouldnt mind/nothin would happen to you.... And for a a lot of N's, thats as far as the line goes.So if you not that race, dont group yourself into that thinking you got a green light...

I'm not excited at all, I just wanted to really understand your opinion. I didn't mean it to come out as abrasive, I just really wanted to know whatyou meant.

I knew you were joking with the pic, but a lot of times people say what they really think with a joking tone to pass it off as nothing.

Hell, I'm only 1/4 black...so we all are entitled to our opinion here. Nothing wrong with you voicing yours.

Just wondering what you think non-black people say when reciting their favorite rap songs?
ohwell.gif

I'm not going to defend the dude, but he looked a little tipsy and he probably didn't know it was going to come out or some %$$*.
Does it make it better if people say the n word behind closed doors?
No, but you'd be naive to think that it doesn't go on all the time.

The word shouldn't really be used at all, by anyone, but that's another issue.

Yeah but you still in here calling cats sensitive for feeling a certain way about a topic that has deep meaning and personal context to theirexperiences....but don't mean s_ to you.

Thats corny.

I know young Jewish cats that call each other Jewish slurs...that doesn't mean that another Jew shouldn't have the right to be offended or disagreewith the use of that language.

Not to mention the fact that ain't no one in here even getting riled up over the subject. Just having a light discussion....sound like you just trying toinstigate s_.

I would understand why people would get sensitive over the use of the word by a white racist man, but kid rock didn't use it in a racist way, dude isn't racist, he grew up with black people and has a mixed kid, so yeah dude was a little bit tipsy and said it but it wasn't an attack againstanybody. I don't condone the usage of the word by anybody and that includes african americans and/or caucausians.

and I'm not investigating anything so I don't know what you are talking about there...

and btw I know you're going to come back with the " Oh so it's ok for people that are white but have mixed kids to use the N-word??? GTF0h "type comment, so let me answer that as well, No I don't think it is ok for white people that have mixed children to use the word either, I just thoughtthat it would show where he is coming from a little bit better and in what context he used the word.

Again, I don't think the word should be thrown around by anyone just to avoid everything, but that's never going to happen.

And why you bragging like it's something your proud if?
smh.gif

yo who the hell is braggin? Im just speakin the truth. I'm used to hearing that everyday.

Lol at the notion that because dude grew up around black people and is cool with black people...that he is justified in using it.

Like seriously...what **#*!*% sense does that make? So again...If I grew up around a bunch of Jewish people and was cool with them...that it's not as badIf I called said the word **** around them right?

never said it was ok to say it, but all I was saying isthat that is why he might of said it because he was used to other black people saying it...i'm done arguing about this word

My white friends say "N___a" all the time, Like "Yo! my n____a what's good?" but they don't say "You're a N___er." Ithink thats OD and disrespectful if they CALL someone a "N___er" like Michael Richards (Kramer) said. And Kid Rock is obviously a dude who's downwith black dudes, he was on Run's House ad they seem like thhey're good friends and and I'm sure he's good friends with a few rappers. I'msure he banged a few fatty's so I dont care.

Listen to Nas.
