Liva is nice, and when I went to Temple I used to watch this N' Sandman battle dudes in the J&H breezeway (same place Swizz brought some young N'we didn't know of that went to Central HS and was in a group/ran with some folks under "Larceny" to battle my man Keba), I also used to sign thisN Sandman in my dorm cuz he used to mess with this shortie on the second floor.
Liva is not nicer than Tip. Sandman is not nicer than Tip. Pusha is not nicer than Tip. Malice is not nicer than Tip.
The Thornton brothers are great at one subject and one subject only: cocaine. Either they don't have the versatility to make a "What Happened?","Let's Get Away", "U Don't Know Me", "Praying For Help", "Tell 'Em I Said That", "No MatterWhat", "Whatever You Like" - or they just can't do it.
And you'll probaly never hear the guy admit it, but I know damn well part of the reason Sandman left Re-Up is because 1) the subject matter is limited and2) he was doing a lot of exaggerating/lying. He was no different than any N tryin' to sell you a mixtape on the street. Kingpin? Weight pusher? Hardly. Hewas the guy with those chukka Timbs tryin' to holla @ Temple girls and just get his music heard...and I'm not tryin' to play him cuz he was a coolhumble N, but when I hear all this coke talk on these mixtapes - I'm like, "Ok, if you say so."
And people really think Tip can't battle? That little disclaimer from Malice on their website is the typical response in hip hop for subliminal disses:throw the stone and hide your hand. I would actually pay good money to see Tip battle Push and Mal on his own. Just on some acapella #%*+ like Freeway andCassidy (who was the kid I was talkin' about battlin' in the breezeway for anybody who ain't catch it) in the studio....

C'mon now Cage... I rock T.I.P just as much as his next fan but I can't support the stance you're taking.
I agree that a lot of these lil _'s are selling Cliff way too short but bar for bar he's not lyrically on the Thortons/Liva's level. Just like songfor song they can't possibly compare with his catalog.
But in a battle ... As much as I +!$% with Clifford, I'm going to bet on Push 8/10 times G. Its not too many that can match his wittyness and lyricalability. Clifford hasn't really tangled with anybody with ability, he re-evaluated the situation real quick when he saw Cris wasn't ({}) and we allknow Push is consistent with his disrespect once he starts so naaaaaaaah I honestly don't see T.I. coming out the victor.
Even though he has shown the ability to go in (ie talkin to you) I just don't think he has the stamina to go at it with someone of there caliber. And thatthey don't have the ability to speak on other topics is bull @**!, see Good Morning on vol. 3

Clipse=biggest frauds currently in the game. They did not even sell weed, let alone any powder. These lames have never been in any shape or form, any type ofdrug kingpins that they portray themselves out to be. Granted you can say the same thing for most rappers in the game, but these guys have taken it too far.

I remember I was at the Granby Theatre (about the time HHNF was coming out)taking shots of Patron with Fam-Lay and his crew. We got on the subject of Gene andTerrence and the coke rap shhh. He straight up laughed and said "don't believe everything you hear". Fam-Lay on the other hand is known to havedown his share of dirt. I have NEVER heard one person co-sign these dudes.

Push is witty as hell - I'll give you that... as a matter of fact, he has two times more wit than Tip when it come to coke wordplay.
But by default you have to be witty as hell to make three albums and three mixtapes about the same subject and not have fans grow tired of it.
I'll put my money on Tip in an acapella studio battle because his battling style doesn't revolve around wit or set-ups for punchlines. TI is more versatile and has better flow
He can't see Clipse in terms of sheer lyrical ability though
