Okay here's the plan....
1. On the first Friday (January 2nd) We can start our drop offs, deliver your donations to your favorite charities. I'll provide a list of some well-knowncharitable foundations.
2. To accomodate those whom may be busy on the 2nd I decided to extend the event through the 5th. That way we can make drop offs throughout the weekend leadingup till Monday.
3. For those that participated I'd like you all to take pictures of your donations. That way we can keep track of the impact we are having. Go ahead andinclude the charity, date, and a description with the pictures (if you'd like).
The more the merrier, let your family know, your friends, and anyone you think would like to participate.
PM or post any thoughts, opinions, ideas and anything you'd like to say about this blueprint.
How does this sound?
Some Charities.
1. The Salvation Army.
2. Goodwill Industries.
3. Soles4Souls. (This charity collects and donates gently used shoes for children and adults in need). http://www.soles4souls.org/index.html
4. The American Red Cross.
5. AmVets (www.amvets.com)
Many of these places will schedule a pick-up and come to you. Visit the websites for more details. Alternatively many places have drop boxes for those of us onthe go.
Don't forget churches, mosques, temples and other places of God that will happily take your donation. Check to find out which places are looking fordonations before hand.
Please feel free to include any charities that I have not listed.
