By taking the "heat" aren't you adding to the problem? If you are taking a friend, then handle your business if the situaion arises, but shooting someone who tries to rob you for sneakers is a little bit of a contradicton. Philly is NEVER dangerous when sneakers get released like this. I heard people getting robbed but not like right outside of the stores on the release day and crap like that.
 
i thought it was bad for me living around DC, but you guys are pressed. luckily, i have two of the most trafficked malls in the country right here aka pentagon city and tysons, so i will be getting this for sure. there are at least 5 stores within 15 minutes of me that are getting the DMP

^^^tha man is only protecting himself...if i had that problem around my way then i would be packing heat to...and he ain't adding to the problem as long as ppl don't get violent towards him ain't nobody gonna feel heat..whats pathetic is the fact the he gotta pack heat just to buy shoes...only thing i gotta really say is be safe and if you got trouble burn em' better them than you...
 
It's sad to see that the release of sneakers has gotten people so emotionally charged that folks are concerned about being robbed or even worse.

For these very reasons, amongst others, this is why online releases are preferred by many. This is not to say that retail chains and "mom & pop" shops should be left out of the fold, but by making highly anticipated shoes available online as well, Nike/Brand Jordan can help minimize a great deal of the negative exposure that we see on the evening news when things go awry on certain releases.

When the white/red laser IV's were released in May 2005, there were many people disappointed because they were not able to get a pair, but no one's health or life was compromised, and the day went on.
 
haha...ima still get my pack regardless...ima try online and if that don't work just hit tha store in tha mornin..but it would be nice if multiple websites had them for sale.

Pack.

The pack will feature a full men's size run (6-15) and will contain two
shoes, as well as a retro card insert:

- Air Jordan Retro 6+ (136038-071 Black/Metallic Gold)
- Air Jordan Retro XI (136046-171 White/Metallic Gold-Black)

The Pack is scheduled to be release on January 28th and will retail for
$295. The style number for the Pack is 313124-991. It will be available
at select Brand Jordan accounts, select NIKETOWN stores (see list
below), and also select Finish Line and Foot Action stores. The pack will
not be available on Niketown.com.

I'm almost positive I'll be working for the release of these at Miami, and I'm telling you right now, if anyone tries any crap I don't care how big you are I will not sell you these shoes. If I hear of any line jumpers no one will get their shoes.

I JUST HOPE THIS FULL SIZE MENS RUN ALSO MEANS NOT LIMITED ANYMORE....AS IN THE STORES THAT HAVE THEM WILL HAVE FSR WITH LIKE 10 PACKS PER SIZE.
