Real Talk: What Can A Parent Do To Prevent Their Daughter From Being A World Class %$$#?

my daughters 18 mos, and this topic has me shook like no other. My worst nightmare is loggin into ******** one day and see her gettin cream pied. Sports isntreally the answer, the girls IVE known throughout my life that played sports (specifically soccer, hoops and track) are the biggest *#!%@ around. Im reallyreally shook luckily I have another 10 years or so until I have to worry about it.

Man, I'd just be honest and real with her. I'd give her the facts but not to scare her; to educate her. I'm no push over either. That"daddy's little girl" @##% breeds Paris Hiltons and I'll have none of that under MY roof. I'd just try to be above the brainwash tacticsthat my lady suffers from and hope that she at least knows enough to protect her health and future if she does decide to get it crackin. That's all thatreally matters. Image doesn't physically exist, but babies and STDs do. Just be safe baby girl, that's all I can truly demand I guess

. I'd instill a sense of worth and pride the best I could so that she knows her body and soul is worthmore than what some young __ wears or drives. You can't put a price on chastity.I'd tell her that her mother was worth more than that, so she should betoo. I'd TRY to show her that the "cool kids" in high school that feel entitle to her attention are the same ones years later with nothing tooffer because they spend study hall studying a broads when that "lame kid" was instead trying to work up good enough grades to study abroad.That "cool" +$+ __ with the Jordans on that his mama bought ain't stuntin'. Let them other young chicks be his B or H , butyou'll be a lady....MY little lady if no one elses... or so help me God, you'll die by my own hand trying to become one. I'm telling you NT,I'll go to jail for life over that @##%.
 
My mom and dad taught me basic morals and kept me busy in clubs and extracurriculars outside of school.
At home I was limited with Tv, computer time, and phone time. It wasn't overbearing so I really felt no need to rebel.
I suggest keeping computers in one room so if your both on the computer your in the same room.
Tv was in one main room.
Phone time was limited to an hour.
Phone time with boys was limited to age 15 and an hour.
I also noticed the difference in toys kids grow up with. I always had toys that forced me to be creative.
My little sister who is growing up during a way more tech filled age has kid video games(vTech) and is getting the Wii soon and they only plan on getting thefamily and Fit games.
Personally I think its easier nowadays with more technology, but people just aren't taking out the time out to weed through the crappy stuff.
And never get her a Webcam.
And tell them the truth about sex.
My mom just kept it 100%.
At 6 and below "The Womb", at 8 "The X Chromosome and Y Chromosome...", and at 10 "When a man and woman get together...".
 
real talk all that good role model stuff only goes so far. If I have a daughter, I am just gonna simply educate her from a young age and let her know shecan openly talk about whatever she wants. Even that said, kids still don't feel like they can tell thier parents everything. But I am gonna have thosetalks and speak my mind regardless if she feels awkward. Just let her know that she has her own free will but there will be consequences. Then tell herpersonal real life situations to let her know I was her age at one point too

That would suck.

But I think if a child has a strong family background and is taught at a early age about life's ins and outs then that would help alot. I wasn't thebest child but I was smarter than the average kids.

As for a daughter. You have to have strong, successful and moral driven females around. First you have the mother. If she is consistently showing love,affection and teaching then that will help of course. The grandmother/s will be great additions since they have the "old school" view on things and Ithink all kids can go to grandparents and feel comfortable. Aunts and female cousins also play a vital role. I think my daughters should do fine considering wehave a nice female batch.

As a father you play the biggest role. Yes mothers are the soft hearted teachers but as a father you have to find a balance of hard and soft. You have to showyour daughter how a man should treat a lady. You have to let her know whats on a males mind. But you also have to find a way to manage the relation ofdaddy's little princess

Good communication, positive role model, trust, discipline, other then that just hope for the best..

A LOT of prayer..

-pray you have a son first who can also put her on the game
-pray she has good friends
-pray she's not a follower
-pray she's not a natural born freak
-pray some knuckle head boy doesnt make her forget all the good morales you taught her
-pray she doesnt meet a NTer
-pray she meets the love of her life in 7th grade and they stay together forever
