About a year ago, JJ had some pictures of the Air Jordan 17 wear test samples. Does anyone have those pictures now?

Now that the AJ17s are officially out, I would like to see the difference between the released ones and the wear-test version. To anyone that managed to copy those pictures, could you post them up here please?

Any help greatly appreciated.

why dont you go to his website and send him an email, asking him for the pics, and the differences he noted and his feelings on them and what he told nike about his feelings on the shoes AND...AND....and..

you can see the test wear samples that JJ had in the
CD that came with the 17's
Im on that fly gangta sh , I pop the collar on my jersey...Fabolous

heres a sketch of what they thought they should look like way back when. I'll look around for the wear tests. You're talkin about the white/red colorway right? and in the pics they looked kinda used? Cuz those are the ones im lookin for. Peace.

Thanks o-hoops,
I knew quite a number of people copied those pics as JJ didn't have enuff space on his server...

Yup vinsanity,
The shoes were white/red and they were a very used & abused pair....

Loads of people doubted JJ then, but some here knows that it takes 18-24 months to develop a shoe. Since that wear-test sample was posted about a year ago, are we about to see some AJ18 wear-test samples ?? JJ ???

Aren't those the ones MJ gave the OK to on the CD? The flap in the center looks familiar.
Ummmm.....I like shoes.......what else is there it say?

there they are....those are the pair that made me originally say NO to the XVIIs. Those shoes are sick (as in bad)!! haha. It looks like a bunch of flaps, nooks, and crannys, heh. Good thing they shapened em up, and made em look a whole lot better, also with new colors. I saw 3 people in my school with the present XVIIs yesterday, and theyre the people that made me change my mind. In real life, these kickz look TIGHT. Thanks for helpin me wit the pics orinda and Harlem Niga. Peace.

dang those are ugly, when they said wear test them, JJ put some serious wear on them, but i guess he had to, glad they sharpined up the final product

I remember when I saw those last spring I flipped out . They were so ugly! The red color is nice though.

I'm glad you posted those because when I first saw them I told my friends that these on be one of the first pair of J's that I didn't get in a long time. I thought that the shoe had just grown on me, but after lookin at this I realize that they sharpened up the design big time.

hey dey may not be all dat
but if u wore em now u noe how many necks ud break

Thanks DAT & orinda for the pics.
I really wanted to see how they changed the mid-upper area of the shoe where the lace-cover is on the released version.

My guess is that they left alot of the key elemnts of the 17's out on purpose. If I was making a shoe that would make my company a million plus dollars, I wouldn't release a test version of it, exactly the same, a year in advance.... Just my thoughts..

Not really. The shoe just evolved. Some things worked, some didn't. Some styling hints were kept, some weren't.

I don't understand your logic here.

>>>>>I knew quite a number of people copied those pics as JJ didn't have enuff space on his server...

I have plenty of space, I just don't feel like having my server bogged down by pictures linked directly to a messageboard which is going to be loaded and reloaded a few hundred times.

>>>>>The shoes were white/red and they were a very used & abused pair....

Those pictures were taken after only 2 wearings. So the damage that you see comes from about 2-3 hours total.

>>>>>Loads of people doubted JJ then.

You're darn right they did. "Told ya so..."

You might see them, but I doubt I'll be the one to post them.

last night i was thinking about JJ's wear test samples and how much i hated them at the time. i couldn't believe that now i like the 17s. from seeing the original pics again, i realize how much nike improved the shoe, and understand why i like the released 17s.

the 17s on my feet right now have leaped into my top 5 favorite Js of all time, and the black 16s are growing on me. this is coming from an "old school" guy, so it is a substantial statement. maybe MJ playing in the L has some to do with it.

Thanks for your reply JJ...

I wouldn't have known the wear-test sample damage were only after 2 wearings. Must have been used hard then to really see if the shoe holds up.

JJ - Were the pair yours from the beginning and was it you who tested the shoes? Just curious...
Also JJ - if I remember correctly, you had a pair of the Air Force 1 Sheed (black/white). But if I'm not mistaken, they were not Patent leather (like the released version). Correct me if I'm wrong? And did the pair you have come with the Zoom Air in the sole? ...and btw JJ, any new "teasers"
