How different is a club from a lounge?

He's got it! The clubs are more heavily promoted and geared toward dancing and the top 40. Lounge is more laid back. You might see someoneshooting pool or throwing darts. There is some dancing but more stepping than juking. At least that's how it's in the Chi!

I've never really been to a lounge. Always wanted to go, I imagine its something like the commericals, or Hitched.

So lounges arent really a place to dance. Its mostly to conversate and drink. If this is true, I'm guessing you have a better chance to talk to women atlounges than a club. Am I correct?

thats what i'm saying, only difference is you got a couch next to the dance floor.

same thing I was thinking. especially in NYC. lol @ some of them calling themselves lounges.

I've only ever been to clubs. They're not really my cup of tea.

That's where it's at right there. Lounges are my thing. Especially, if you see a group of people of the opposite sex sitting at the othertable making glances at your table??? You already know, it just takes one "gentleman" from my table to walk over, and ask" Do you mind if myfriends join your table and get to know each other?" And it's poppin.

Ding, Ding, Ding. Why have the loud music in your ear, blasting and you going HUH at a club when you can just make convo that makes everybody atease. Lounges are like house parties with stranger to me. You know majority of people are out to chill and meet new people. Lounges feels like there are noexpectation, but we all know there are expectations

Basically. They all vary, depends on what the owner is going for.

Club to me feel like how much money and what your status is, Men or women get super glam up to go to a club. But at a lounge, there might be some music or not,yet it sets the mood. If you looking to smash, lounges in my opinion, are better cause you FEEL like you got a repertoire of the person you"re talking to.

I havent been to a lounge before, but the way your talking about lounges makes me not wanna go to the club anymore and just go to lounges. I'mgoing to try one out this weekend and see if I like it.

Lounge
- Small area for dancing, if any at all
- Nicer decor
- Smaller but nicer-looking bars, serving cocktails in glasses and beer on tap
- Still loud, but still able to hold up a conversation
- Seating areas with tables, with optional table service, and waitresses
- More opportunity to meet people

Exactly what he said.

So to the people going to "true" lounges who wouldn't "wife" a girl they met in a "club" would you "wife" a girlyou meet in a lounge?

^^^That sounds about right. I like lounge style music though. Still blasting loud but more of a chill vibe like with some old school Zhane, Toni Tone Tony andsprinkle of some old new flavor like Musiq, Eric Bennett (always here his one song) some old Faith Evens....well, at least the ones I go to. They both havepros and cons though. Even though there are age difference, sometimes you want to just mash out at a club even though everyone there is like in their early20's and I am hitting the late 20's.
