Thinking of moving to hawaii

I go to Hawaii every year for 7-10 days..... surely wouldn't be the worst idea ever.
It's pretty expensive though, I'd look into a job prior to going over there? Especially in this economic environment.
But you can't beat the weather + you got the beaches/warm water.

Also, you might get Island fever.... I mean if you want to leave the islands you have to travel a long ways.

Everybody I met from Hawaii is weird.

You should move there though.

I like waffles

I'm from Hawaii and go there every year at least once. I dont think I could live there longer than 6 months to a year.

All I got.

Island fever is pretty tough.

I had a few friends who lived out there for college. I think it'd be hard to be there permanently.

I'm moving to Maui in the beginning of summer with my girlfriend. We've lived in So Cal our whole lives and we just need a change. We may not own a bighouse and fancy rides anymore but we are looking for a better quality of life. More time relaxing, less stress and more time with each other if you know what Imean, even if its at the cost of living in a small condo. Unlike Cali, everyone is easy going there and it doesn't matter what you got because you have thesun, surf, and sand at your footsteps. I've done a lot of research on the web about moving to Maui but you may want to do a search that's more islandspecific to where you want to live. Good luck with your decision and maybe a fellow Niketalker will see you there. Aloha!

Yes, they are so tasty.

Well, looks like I know what I'm eating for breakfast tomorrow. Lately, I've had a huge urge for a nice breakfast meal.

Yeah im not sure I could live there. I was there for 2 weeks, visiting family, but its such a small place (Oahu).

I'd definitely like to try it out though.. living in a small space, with nice locals, good weather and nice girls is comfortable.

If your main objective was to get to some easy going people and get away from these SoCal herbs you shoulda considered moving to the Bay Area

What part of Hollywood? I don't have work today (stupid court date), so I have basically the day off after that.

Japanese girls yes, Filipino girls NO!!!!!!!! I don't date date Filipino girls because they are crazy. Take my advice, I'm Filipino.

I'll 3rd that for the H1 horribleness. Ewa Beach's fort weaver is the WORST haha. I hated that two lane traffic jam. As for moving there, my bestfriend lives there vecause he moved there in fall 2005 for school at UH Manoa. Dude pulls alotta tourists and girls over there love the mainlanders.

http://www.roscoeschickenandwaffles.com/ They're all over but I usually go to the one onGower.

Some people love it here, others, not so much.

The people that love it say it's the weather, nice people, lifestyle, beaches, scenery, etc.
The people that don't like it say they are homesick, it's too expensive, too crowded/condensed, bored after awhile.

It's totally up to you. Hawaii isn't for everyone. But then again, moving to a new place by yourself isn't for everyone. It's what you make ofthe situation that's going to ultimately be the focal point of how you feel.

Through my experiences talking to university of hawaii students from the mainland, I say 90% enjoy what hawaii has to offer.
Not too sure about others that aren't here for school.
