happened to me one time
Got all of it back plus more though...took me a good 4 months of literally everyday downloading, not to mention weeks of cataloging and correct tagging/albumartwork
I still havent learned my lesson though..im straight up playing with fire with this half broken hard drive right now though...its bound to fail at anytime, buti have no money for enough DVDs to back up my entire library..120gigs of pure music...another 150 of movies/tv shows
i just keep my fingers crossed.

i feel you on this one, i have lost everything before, it wasnt the music that i was upset about because you can always download everything over, but myfamily/friends pictures. Nowadays i have a 320gb internal laptop hard drive and 4 external hard drives equaling at 3 TB

Damn bruh i feel for you. As lame as it may sound, my music library is one of my most prized possessions, I have a lil over 70gb but a couple of weeks ago ifinally got around to backing it up on an external HD...I can't imagine what would happen if i lost that *%@@.

it's not that much if you have good quality rips. might be 100-150 albums tops.

drives are cheap. theres no reason not to have an internal 1 tb backed up by an external 1 tb.
