They're easily generated and as such, can be used without actually being provided by Nike--thusly rendering a code that was legitimately provided to a customer unusable.

ES is merely drawing attention to this flaw in Nike's systems in hopes of bettering it, same way he did with his RSVP destroyers.

yep. Him giving them away is much better than the people selling them. Assuming the sellers are also generating. I almost equate this to ones complaining to Nike just to get a 20%. Nike needs to limit the codes and lock them down to an account.

I dont see how you guys can wish banning on someone when they are trying to get a good deal on overpriced merchandise. What does that have to do with you anyway?
In a way, you're right. They're just bystanders. However, to say it's a victim less crime is not to consider the impact it has on Nike or the person who originally got the coupon.

Yes, Nike is a billion dollar corporation that has some serious profit margins on its products. Yes, the customer can request another coupon.

But let's not act like it's a victim less crime. The guys selling the coupons are profiting. The customers using the coupons is where things get grey since money is going back into Nike. The only issue is the discount on the product and how they obtained the coupon.

I can see where Nike Destroyer/Solemartyr/evilside is coming from with the shenanigans. Some have questioned the altruism.

It's crazy that we're arguing about a consumer product.

The codes being used are also given to legitimate customers by nike, so imagine having a nike rep gave you a discount code because of a problem or defect on a shoe only to find it's been used by someone else.

For every code sold or given away through illegitimate channels means someone else is basically losing their legit code.

These victims are having their "free" 20% stolen from them. 20% = time for these legitimate customers.
The customer can ALWAYS return the items if there is a defect and receive 100% of their money back. (minus shipping?)

Legit codes given to people who complain about a defect on either the shoe or the box, an extended delay in shipment, or any other reason that NIKE.com really has no control over.

People should be happy to get anything. People feel too privileged. They gotta receive 20% off for something minor.

I am one of those people tho. But usually the effort to call in to complain is outweighed by my laziness.

This really just harms people who equate time to money.
Don't condone stealing, but if it is out there already stolen and left on the sidewalk and there is no way to return it to the rightful owner and someone else will pick it up, why not be me?

Apparently so when people are posting their humble brags on many of the recent high profile Nike releases. And it can add up for a reseller trying to get a decent size run especially when they flip them.

Or it can save a considerable amount if you buy IDs. Buy four Kobe 9 elite lows and you'll save a decent mount.

The only reason why I'm not up in arms is because the coupons are used to buy Nike products, which means their bottom line gets bigger. And the codes are generated by Nike. It sounds like they need to change the system and accountability. But then again, they need to change the web site to prevent bit users.

Why are we going back and forth on shoes? Most of us have more shoes than an impoverished village, lol.

but its not on the sidewalk to be picked up..

i have a 20% code because nike screwed up my 2k14 order.. and I have been saving it for the WTL release.. if they it doesnt work because of some people steal them, i am going to be super pissed off..

the only people you guys are hurting is fellow sneakerheads.. not nike

For all we know Sole Martyr is a very bored and very rich Phil Knight.

I've seen this before when Bruce Wayne went all Matches Malone and stole from Wayne Enterprises.
