I tried that about 1.5-2 years ago, but it just go ignored so didn't bother posting again.
Almost every brand has their own version of desert boots now. I got mine for $40 from Banana Republic: http://niketalk.com/topic/87723

other than that try applying for a Nordstrom credit card. You get rewards gift certificates as you spend. I am sure other stores do that as well but I like Nordstrom's selection the best. Also either once or twice a year they have "Member's or Cardholder's" parties which they close the store early on a Sunday night then reopen it for the cardholders and have insane deals going on. Plus they have finger foods and Margaritas and Piña Coladas. True Story
I disagree. Nobody jokes when you fill your shirt out properly.

It is all about timing. When i got it, it happened to be on sale with a 20% discount and free shipping.
I think came to about to $30 overall, one of the best deal I got.

That mixtape sucked so bad.

In all honesty try to avoid Polo, it's just a brand name. When it comes to dressing up and such its all about putting it together not who you'rewearing. I had some dress shirt I got off the Macy's clearance rack and someone goes nice Brooks and Brothers you got there, i've never even been toBrooks and Brothers. Just remember style>>>>brand names. Look at all those guys in the "Designer" thread their clothes may be expensivebut a lot of them belong in the "thought they were doing it" thread, no hate. Like Dirty said (I hate to quote Dirty is so cliche

) but he'sright get a few pieces and go from there.

The pics I provided were all from the polo website, it's just easier to get sample pics from there than searching.
But I do prefer dress shirts to not have the pony logo.

I know what you mean RFX I can't even front we all have Polo shirts just don't go in the office trying to be Mr. Polo and you'll be good.

As much as I love Polo as a brand, a lot of things they make just fit me weird. Take their beloved polos for example, even a size small fits toolong for my liking, and I usually would need a medium because of my large arms. The hardest part is finding stuff that compliments your body nicely.

Sometimes, even POLO's custom fit isn't fitted enough, I have to size down.
That is why I have been buying more Ben Sherman (soho fit) and Hugo Boss slim fit dress shirts and sport shirts.
They fit real well.

Since i'm more of a slim guy, I like H&M a lot more nowadays. Maybe its the Europeanish

Ben Sherman's Soho Fit is pretty similar to H&M's slim fitted shirts. I got a few from H&M too, their solid button up were $15 each, Icouldn't resist. Quality isn't too great though, when it is fitted, it is the only shirt I feel like it's going to rip when I move too much.

i'm surprised RFX left out boat shoes... but yeah, a must. and... there's nothing wrong with polo shirts rfx, time to come up a bit? they're astaple

Gap is a great start if th emoney is quite there yet. But im thinking of improving my style soon. I dont care right now since im only a college freshman. Butlater I will change up. I need me a pair of brown shoes though.....

True but you can only wear polo's so much and I knew the post might get flooded with that suggestion so I left it out on purpose.
I was going to mention boat shoes but I guess when the guy said college classes, I imagined my college classes that were all at night.
I just couldn't imagine wearing boat shoes at night, I think it's just my mentality as I always associate boat shoes with summer/spring time.
Same with polo. Can't beat a boat shoe (no socks) + khaki + polo combination in the summer though.

I also want to mention, while Banana Republic, GAP and Old Navy are good starters, the fit is horrible. I tried on an xs slim fit BR sportshirt and it fit likecrap. I felt like I was wearing a box. And I have been through this phase and in the end, I regretted purchasing all these cheap non-fitting clothes like thebrands I mentioned above. It now just sits in my closet gathering cobwebs. Now I am saying splurge and spend $300 in an Etro sportshirt but keep it in mind. Igot my Hugo Boss slim fit shirt for $40 at Macys and they fit like a glove. So some may think they are saving by purchasing Gap, BR, ON, etc... but the qualitywon't last and you will end up paying more if you're going to move up anyways and buy better stuff later. H&M and ZARA is an exception though andprobably the best place to buy these stuff. H&M is cheap enough and ZARA usually has plenty of sales. Quality will be about the same (H&M = GAP, ZARA =BR) but at least it fit right from the start. Visit Target too, their ONE Converse line fits pretty fitted too, try their sport shirts, worth it for $25.
