i left california in october, stable job 5 mins away, had just gotten a raise, salary benefits.
easy work, but they hired some douchebag who just made work suck, and he pretty much pooped on my parade.
anyway, my girl and i had always talked about leaving to south carolina since her fam is there.
we made the move in october, we lived at her parents for like 3 months, she was in another town 2 hrs away working some little part time ish.
she couldnt find anything and mind you she went to college and all that, i didnt look for work because i wasnt in the area we planned to live in. (charleston)
anyway we found a place in february i started to look for work in my field (audio/visual) and could not find anything.
i got so depressed and just started applying to crappy jobs, didnt even get a damn interview for champs,
little did i know but my girl had emailed the local a/v companies and sent em my resume and all that, then out of nowhere i had like 3 places interested,
started doing part time stuff, then out of nowhere a company who i had interviewed me called and said they needed help, they eventually hired me for full time.
the place is literally down the street, im sorry for the long post but i just want the jobless bros out there to know that theres stuff out there you just gotta chase em.
i gave up immediately, i felt like a loser and it sucked, not to mention my girl couldnt find anything and it was kind of taking a toll on us, she was mad that i stopped trying and was so angry, but in the end i ended up getting work within a week of looking, which was insane.
the job i got is very different from what i've done before, its alot of setting up weddings, conferences and pretty much anything.
one day we could do a huge conference then one day we are taking a tv to a hotel,
i will be salary after 90 days also will get bonuses, and commision for the stuff i get rented out, not to mention benefits.
started in february.
