a co-worker of mine sent me a flyer from the City of Houston. They're having a Recruiting Event on Saturday from 8a-2p. Interviews will be take place at the event and on the spot conditional job offers will be made.

I told myself, Im not wasting my time dressing up and prepping anymore, if they want me I'm sticking to phone interviews only....

lol funny but not a good way to go out bro. Stuff like this could damage your reputation when apply for new job.I quit my part time job last week. I couldn't take it anymore so I just put a note on the register and walked out. They called my house later as if they thought it was joke. The time they called they left a voicemail asking me if i was sick or something. Then they called hours later again and they asked if was true that I quit and I said yea n hung up. I blacked out my name in the pic. After this Im never being a cashier/customer service worker...Always wanted to just bash rude customers heads in every time they decided they wanted to act up.

my bestfriend since middle school had his medical today for the nypd. he's been wanting to do this his entire life, to be a cop. he's 24 now and at the medical, he failed because he's partially color blind. man, when he called me, i could hear through his voice a defeated man. he doesnt know what he wants to do anymore, but i kept telling him it's not over. i was about to cry for him cause i felt so bad, and that's just not right; to crush somebody's dream because of something out of their hands. i'm telling him it's not the end, there's always other opportunities, because that is true. dont give up my brothers, even if no one calls you for an interview or you dont get offered the position... there's always other chances. i'm stuck at a job i hate, but i just gotta keep grinding and eventually life will reward me by itself; and the same will happen to you. get it fellas

Depends. The best answer I can give you is to apply and go to the interview.
If they drug test you and you still smoke. Yes
If they do background checks. Maybe. If they are desperate for workers than you might have a shot

Leaving a friends house who had a small grow. They weighed stems and leaves budding plants were still premature. The weight totaled at 4 oz's. 7 grams. Charged with felony possession in Texas. Guilty by association and knowledge of the illegal activity.

Had the interview did the swab test quit smoking 20 days ago so I should pass. The manager nor the application ever asked about my criminal history. She said come Monday ready to work I'll have the offer sheet ready and background should be in pending background we will move forward. Didn't know if I should have told her about my felony possession of marijuana. Figured since it isn't a violent crime or theft I would be fine. Might just have to state my case and show I am reliable. Just need the opportunity.

Word of advice to some of you about quitting your job. Even if the job sucked, you should never burn bridges. If you want to quit, do so in a professional manner., Sometimes your work experience and reputation go beyond what's simply written down on a resume.

Target hit me up today and had two leadership positions within their Distribution Centers. One in Denton, TX and one in Midlothian, TX. Only thing is I live in Houston....and thats like 4hrs away. She told me they do have relocation accommodations for these positions, Im just waiting to hear back from her on how beneficial they will be. If its not amazing Im gonna have to pass.

Need a new job ASAP! Been working at my current job for 3 years and 4 months and it's time for a change. New management that's been here since February has been awful and morale at work is poor and it's gotten to the point to where it just brings me down being there. I've applied at over 10 spots in the last week and haven't heard from a single place. Anyone in the San Diego area know of any places that are hiring? I work at Napa Auto Parts b

Third on that second job thing. Ideally would want to do something close to home with little manual labor. If I had it my way I woidk work at a clothing store so I could reap the benefits of the discount or the post office cause I heard the pay is good
