just get a decent one, dont need a crazy expensive one but i would get a decent sized one for coverage and a smaller one for the creases/edges, also take your time and apply multiple thin layers of the paint so that it will not crack. If you have any other questions feel free to ask here or PM me and i will share any and all knowledge i have on any subject.
 
oh yeah and also get some paint jars to store the mixed paint so that if you ever need to use it again on the same shoes the paint will match it and you dont have to mix it again (learned that the hard way lmao)
 
Will do. I'm ULTRA neat so I think I'm just the man for the job. I've decided I will repaint the ENTIRE leather toe of both Flint 13's.

In the meantime I will use some Sally 40 volume cream (In hopes of whitetening)  the white rubber midsole which looks a bit dirtyish white even after numerous cleanings.

I'll see if that will get the white rubber midsole....white'er.....then I'll paint em.

just paint them, its so much easier and quicker and now that you have brought this up i think i will be painting the toes on my Flint XIIIs too, i have some pinkish glue stains on the leather, but my pods are painted and they look brand new (the 2006 flints i think thats the year).
 
gotcha....great advice.

"PODS" was the word I was looking for in terms of describing the white rubber midsole...the rubber "panther pods" Yeah they need a re-coating LIKE BAD! messes the whole look of the shoe up to me when the pods looks all "grayish" and dull. FTR I have the 2010 edition of the Flints. It boggles me how the original owner screwed these up.

Same white paint or some different paint for specifically for rubber?

same angelus paint just do thin layers and they should hold up great, they also make a finisher for the paint so that it will hold up better but i dont use it (i just repaint if i have to cuz its easy)
 
so I bought these black grapes, and theres like this pink dye on the bottom of the sole, I tried acetone and it still wouldn't come off, anyone know what it is?
 
Jesus those just came out^^ they're yellow that fast. Idk if it will work but try to retrobright them. It will clear up the sole and lighten up the pink maybe take it off idk though.

Just thought I'd share this in here. Took 5 days of sunlight to achieve this, sole seperation started occuring, so I stopped.

I'm fine with the result though, just have to get some E6000 to fix where the soles started seperating.

Used the infamous "Air Legends" sauce on them.

Haven't really been on NT too much these past few years (3 kids in 4 years will eat up a lot of free time!), so I wasn't aware this thread was so edatiled and useful. I usually just pick up my restoration tips from the users I follow on IG.

Lots of useful info going around here, need some more time to catch up on what I've missed, I'll post some questions I have regarding the sauce tomorrow!

That's what I'm afraid of.  Spending 20 plus bucks for something I can do myself.  It'd be worth it if the formula were truly something unique and innovative.

I know Vick well (well atleast as well as you can online/social media) and we both make our own "sauce". I can assure you it is not 40 and oxi. Our "sauces" are similar and contain about 5-6 ingredients to prevent traction loss and "white bloom" like other products. Not to mention they both work quicker than salon care or any other "homemade retrobrite". http://www.raleighrestorations.bigcartel.com

Does anyone know the steps of making an NIKE AIR logo on the heel tab of my Air Jordan 3 1994?? Or can make one for me for a reasonable price??
