:::OFFICIAL SNEAKER CARE/MAINTENANCE POST::: (It's back!)

Just got this in to clean up my burgundy Vs, anyone have experience with this or any other methods of successfully and safely cleaning suede shoes?
I have the same kit from Kiwi, works really well but as warned by sneakerp careful with the brush bristles. They tend to be a little rough which I am guessing is because they are plastic instead of some type of natural hair. Be gentle and if you are worried try a different brush first.

I was very gentle with it a and got the job done. I will likely hit a hobby store for a softer brush for future uses. Thanks fellas!

Paint on my retro 5 oreo peeling can I use this paint to cover it up or if not what can I use

Jordan 5 is much different from the 3s and 4s(which is common for paint chipping) . You can't really take all the paint out with nail polish because of the slightly rough midsole. So i would say just cover it with new paint. Just make sure you clean the area first..

How would I get white paing off the black part of the shoe if any gets on it? Or is it just a loss

Black paint go over white paint easily. Or use 3m tape.if your talking about the shark teeth but if your talking about the suede, just let the paint dry and use a suede brush to take the dry white paint off. You will be fine.

Using volume 50 creme (18%), creme 40v is 12%.

^^ i do indoor method myself and let me tell you its a very long process. I havent done any netting but unyellowing soles with that method takes many hours (75+ hrs) depending on condition imho. Patience, only thing i would be careful with is the heat from 2 bulbs make sure both bulbs arent giving that much heat try to get a temperature reading. Mine doesnt get any warmer then 78° depending on room temp...Btw I use 1 bulb cause i dont want to chance sole seperation.

I have some questions!

How to clean the brushes after the painting? Ofc in good way to not damage them.

And how to paint details? I'm using airbrush in general, but it's hard to get for example red nike air logo on air max 1 ( it's made form cotton thread or something) .

I want to have all black with red logo but when I'm putting there paint, it is going out of from the logo and damaging the black materiał around it :frown:

How to paint it? How to paint DIRECTLY and only the logo?

How to apply the finisher, can I airbrush it?

The same with suede dye, can I airbrush it? With cotton balls it's pretty hard to get good result on small parts.

And last question :

I have my OG V metallics but I want to use suede dye to renovate them. How at apply it to AVOID getting on 23 number on the side? It is white and I don't want it to be black. How to do it good? In the 23 u have the suede in the spaces of the numbers and how to paint it without reaching the 23 number?

Thanks for help!

I can help you with some of your questions.

Cleaning paint brush: michaels sells a cleaning liquid for brush that i mix with wa water and leave it there for couple of hours, sometimes i leave it over night, and while using the brush, in between coat dip the brush in a warm water to keep the paint from drying.

Applying finisher: yes you can use brush. I usually use cotton buds just to have an even application, because of the very thin consistency.

Paint dye: yes you can use brush for better controll of application area..

You misunderstand me, I mean airbrush :smokin

Just use water after your done. You have to disassemble your airbrush. And you can also use airbrush for the finisher.hope i got your question right this time.
