black pods or white pods? with my white pods on my 05 flints i used a white Elmers paint pen and they look brand new now and they were almost purple before:

just be careful and take your time.

black or white patent? either way it sucks but on mine when you can see white through the patent i typically just get a permanent marker and color it in but im sure if you got some actual black paint, prefferably Angelus because its better for walking, and cover it up you should be fine. People dont be afraid to do your own experiments, you might find a better way or process.

black patent. and would a glossy spray paint work?

Sorry if the answer is posted somewhere within these 206 pages, but what paint would work best with a 1985 OG pair of AJ I (Ones):

I was watching these but then they jumped really high on price.  I would honestly let those be classics unless you want to rock 'em.  Strip and use angelus leather paint, you could whiten the rubber outsole as well.

yeah they went higher than i would've liked... but i was on the lookout for banned I at a decent price to no avail. was hoping i coulda got this for a steal but i guess im ok with the price. really stoked and can't wait for them to come. thanks for the tip.

you have 17k posts i'm sure you know how to read.  this info is all over the place.  literally it's 3 posts up

*looks up*
Restoring pods on XIIIs, paint patent leather on XIs, restore paint on OG Is. Nope, don't see nothing on restoring paint on the midsole of IIIs. No way in hell I am going through 206 pages. Search function didn't help.
By the way, I have 14K posts, not 17.

Is it normal that when i use a hair spray on the side nets on my 99 V's that it gets a goo like substance on them and then when i run a q tip on it it comes out dirty??

Don't do that ever.  So technically yes it is normal.  Clean it off with soap and water.
@LimitedretroOG try and type any of those into google.  that's too specific to do on the NT search.

Sorry if this was asked before but can I use to re polish the patent leather on the concords. The dull spot was caused by rubbing alcohol.

Bruh, there are 206 pages of this stuff. Are you trying to go through a whole 206 page thread to get an answer you don't know?

If anything, there should be a Sneaker Maintenance forum so that stuff can be better organized.

So, basically, 2 main problems that we all are trying to avoid are the yellowing and the cracking.Too much moisture causes yellowing, while over drying causes cracking. How about keeping the shoes boxed-up and stored in a finished basement with a running dehumidifier. Then, there's supply of aircon and hot air from the centralizes HVAC. Perhaps, putting 2 small packets of silica gels in each box as well?I think this is the closest controlled temperature and moisture than we can get?

Sup guys, do you think sea glow would even help these soles at this point?
no flash

with flash

^Yes, but I would try retrobrite before seaglow. My Jams are in similar shape and I think its going to take multiple sessions.
