Air Jordan Altitudes 13's: Remember the hype on these?

i think it was around jan or feb 2005, the hype for these were insane especially around my area. i was trying to get a pair that day but plans didn'tfall through

surprisingly the price value on these have stayed the same. i've seen auctions end at 200-275 at the most. even fake altitudes were surfacing on ebay.

Anyone else agree on the altitude 13's? I think they're a nice colorway, but poorly made imo.
 
This is the only XIII i have yet to see in person. But I'll keep it in mind to check them out though. The color way is pretty nice though.
 
Yep I was working at Champ's and this is when Foot Inc stores in that area weren't getting any retroes and I can recall looking across the mall at DTLRthrough the gate of our store because it wasn't 10, and watch people knee slap, high five, and all sorts of shucking and jiving because they got theirpairs LOL.
 
yea i recalls a viet dood got all of his 3 pairs jack when he was running to the bus stop from niketown seattle.

i almost camped out for those bad boys.... sometimes i wish i had them, but its no biggie.... they are not that serious
 
I just got me a pair of vnds altitudes off eBay for 162 around December. Broke necks the day I wore them.
 
yea i remember ppl goin nuts for these, ill be totally honest tho, i really dunt care for them all that much. im more into the flints

those thirteens are still ds just sitting there...everytime i wanta wear them i just cant
 
i think this was the first limited retro release, it might have even been the
first ls release. i remember the year before alot of cats on this board were complaining
because they wanted limited edition retro's, then when they dropped and they couldn't copp
they started complaing because they were too limited. i never cared for these, i don't like the
shiny midsole and the bumpy leather on back, a very overrated shoe imo.
 
They were alright then and are alright now, nothin to get to hyped up over

i got mine for under 200 vnds and they look great and as far as the quality goes they are great and so comfortable. i actually paid more for my flints than forthese
 
RD was crazy in the Bay Area... People were camped out for 4-5 days in the damn rain at NTSF...
 
My dude was selling the matching t-shirts for $100 a piece.

The release was one of the craziest days of my life.
 
1st limited or LS release unless you count the nubuck XII's. NT Chi had a line around a city block. I waited there for 3 hrs & ended up having to goback to the southside (Chicago) to get mine outta Evergreen Plaza & it was ppl going crazy there. Parents cussing cause it didn't come in a sizesmaller than an 8 I believe. But mine are DS, I love em though, all that I went through to get em
 
I just wore them joints last Friday and fools kept askin me where I got them. Too many necks got broke that day. I broke my own neck looking down at them.
 
Ha mad funny this post comes up now...I just found my copy of a newspaper article a reporter wrote after interviewing me and my boy over at NTNYC for thatrelease. Funny part is I slept out for those shoes...then on way home found a spot in Bk that was just opening and selling for retail...could have avoided thewhole ordeal.
