Whoever invents it will be the richest person ever.
man if somebody invents that ... the government would never let the general public get a hold of that type of technology... people would becommitting crimes 24/7 and never getting caught ... like dude on that movie Jumper

10 years is a LOT of time for technology to progress that far imo.

Naw, they'll have teleporting stations, so you can't just go to any point you want, only designated areas.

I'd say at least 50 years. Back in 1999, most cars didn't even have navigation. There were no LCD's or plasma's for the masses. Cell phones were still very expensive and quite builky.
Thats probably closer, but maybe 25-40 years. I mean, 25 years ago we got our first computers to the masses and Microsoft/Apple came about. Ithink we could have the technology in that video concepted and developed to an extent, but actually being available to the masses and students etc is not verylikely at all. I would love to be proven wrong when I walk down a street and see some guy start talking with a word bubble pop out of nowhere withenglish/japanese text though.

we could have flying cars now, there just isnt really any point... plus it makes driving ridiculously complex, how to regulate traffic in the air etc etc. Theymarketed a gas powered flying car in the 80s or 90s that was commercially feasible and worked great but pilots licenses and airspace regulations made itunrealistic.

seems cool to think about but there's no way the lower class will ever be able to obtain or afford that kind of technology. Money is the root to all evil.

Say this stuff is in the works, if you don't have a financial stake in the technology, or have the access to the means of production, you will become aslave. In fact, we already are.

I feel as if technology is a beautiful thing, and it makes for a more efficient society. However, it alarms me that nobody thinks twice about how much thisdigital world is dumbing everyone down.

Look at how the mass production of calculators has damaged math skills in the country.

Furthermore, there is a significant opportunity cost when it comes to this technology stuff. We are trading in our privacy for convenience.

And the worst part of it all is that our society has grown to prove that you cannot be fully successful without depending on technology.

No self sufficiency, we are all puppies out here.

Honest to God, as amazing as this prospective technology is, it scares the living %!@% out of me.

Just give me my 40 acres, a mule, and NT, and I'm good.

in the past 10 years, there have been thousands of technology breakthrough. so within the next 10 years. there can be a huge increase in new technologybreakthroughs. look at the iphone for a start. iphone revolutionized the touch screen. and from the video above. about 80% used touch screen. so my thoughts isthat within 10 years. we gonna see some hot +#!+.

Of course the lower class will never be able to obtain this kind of technology! Don't you understand it's all a part of the plan. Thereare some people who do not even have access to computers in America. My aunt teaches at an inner city school back home, and the students are just now gettingcomputers, and even then they are dated as hell. Now imagine how they are prepared for higher learning, in comparison to students who do have access to thelatest technology. A damn crime.

Society says that you need Product A to advance, yet only a privileged few have access to Product A. As a result, the haves and have nots continue toseparate.

It's the American way.
