Idk about all of you guys, but it feels great sitting back patiently waiting for the 997BTS and 997CCF pairs to release. It's great being more selective with purchases all around. It's also great knowing I'll more than likely be getting both on good discounts.

Just being patient. I bought all 3 pairs of my 997's last year under retail. Some as much as 40% off. As always YMMV. But on GR's patience pays.

This. It obviously doesn't apply to collabs. But with GRs, since they don't have all the hype, even though they do tend to look just as good as collabs if not better, they sit on sites for a bit and these sites always seem to run sales, especially during certain holidays.

Despite the hype on certain gr's... all the gr's are produced in larger quantities compared to collab's limited numbers. There's enough to go around.

I don't believe that at all. They would trip and fall with untied laces, thus losing and not becoming champs.

Patience is key. It also helps being a size 11. Both pairs that I mentioned in my previous post are GR's, which will sit long enough for sites to offer discounts on them, or through sales. I bought a good number of Author's pack pairs last year discounted, all by waiting it out. I have actually not paid retail on any of my NB GR's. And NB GR's are on par/better than many collabs, at least imo.

As B Sox mentioned above, collabs are a different story. They don't usually see discounts or sales lol

So I really want the Luxury Concepts, however, had some car issues and had to use my sneaker fund for that. Yall think anyone would straight up trade the 997s for my DS Crooked Tongues 1500s? Or should I just wait and pay resell?

considering these luxury goods seem to be coming out in large(r) quantities, I can't see resale being much more than retail probably expect $300~
