Here's a closeup. I was kinda bummed they stopped with the pebble blues but these are pretty sick. Curious to see what the Nighthawks are gonna look like.

Is the sizing for the 997 as weired as it is for the 998? I usually fall into two categories for sizes, 13 for made in usa and 12 for elite edition asian made but when I tried on the 998 it was too big but not big enough where a 12 wouldnt be too small lol I've been trying to find a pair to try on but there damn hard to find unless you go to a boutique.

Really? The 1300 fits the same as the 574 and 996 for me which is my standard nike size, ideally a 12.5 would be perfect but that size doesn't exist for New Balance lifestyle so i settle with 13 lol

I received my 997 Connoisseur Painters today; I wish I would have went TTS. I went 1/2 down and they're snug. Got them off eBay so I just need to make due. I've definitely learned my lesson on sizing for these now. Will go TTS when I get the Guitars.

grabbed 997dbr's off the bay for $160 ish... not the cheapest i've seen, but didn't want to miss out on the CW either. curious to see that horween leather quality.

see that jcrew has put the price up on new balances in the UK, £170 for a 998 and £190 for the 990.

Thats def a decent price. Well below retail and it seems like pairs at the low price point are slowly drying up. You won't be dissapointed. Leather tongue is super good
