Materials - RF (The materials were a step up on the premieres )
Craftsmanship - RF (MY RF's flawless my Premiers not so much)
Colorway - RF (Very subjective and I I own both so you could call this a tie)
Price - Premiere (They win this one because the uptick in materials is nice on the RF998 but man that price was hard to swallow)


Out of those categories the think that I'm most disappointed about was the craftsmanship on the premiers. Not up to NB standards let alone a collab. Overall I think RF had the better collab. but this is nit picking they are both Dope shoes!
 
I held the premiers in hand and just didn't like them. the RF 998s looked a little underwhelming on the site, but in hand they are MONEY

I like the premiers a lot.  But the thing that is holding me back is that I noticed on some pairs is the black suede seems to look very ashy. 
 
I just ordered my first pair of NB1s. Will post the in hand pictures when it arrives next week. Really Excited/Nervous to see how they turn out. Hoping they will be a win. What do you guys think?

compared in which way? They're different models with different colors and materials. They have a similar retail price though. I think the 997PR looks better but all that nubuck on the RF is cool

Having both I will say first I am biased because I love the 998 silhouette. That said, I was really drawn in by the advertising photos of the premier pair. However, in hand I was not disapointed but definitely underwhelmed. Now with the RF pair, I felt the pair looked plain and simple from the advertising photos but I did like the simple cw. In hand I was very impressed overall and was so happy I pulled that trigger to cop. Honestly in regards to the RF pair I would double up, but too many other pairs I am trying to get so it is always tough for me to double up on any pair period. lol
 
Thanks for the input fellas!   This will be my first collab purchase.  Needs to be special.

Well the most obvious differences aside...in terms of quality I guess? I passed on the rf's so I'm not sure what I'm missing. I just haven't been tempted with recent releases enough for me to buy. I love simple colorways too. My only NB purchases this year were the 998cel and the 577fw.
