Everything happens for a reason?

well, yeahh, somewhat. But, when i forget things, I don't normally say, "It wasn't meant to be" just simply, "I forgot". It justall depends on what the situation is.

definitely but to a certain extent...

you choose the path you want to take but faith will get you there in the end, so basically you can either choose the windy road or the smooth flat. you jus never know which is the smooth path

Damn, you brah's remember when posters would use different fonts and colors to set themselves apart from other posters back in the day

As for the OP question. I really do hope and have faith that everything does happen for a reason. But in the end we can never really tell. I think this kind of thinking becomes more powerful with how much faith you put into it because your looking to make sense of the situation in terms of how you want to see it.

Perception is reality for a lot of things we face.

Karma is a Joke and so is fate. Just the human mind searching for justification

Karma, fatalism, and determinism are all not real. They marginalize actual things such as luck, coincidence and hard work.

The way I look at it you're marginalizing the laws of the Universe. Different perspectives. My point of view is we get tested with opportunities and experiences and how we react and how hard we work leads to how things play out.

The laws of the universe revolve around transfer of energy. Having a bad day does not inherently produce a good day for the sake of balance and order

It's all random occurrences, coincidences and accidents. But I agree it's used as a coping mechanism.

I agree with you there. That's the common misconception about karma the, I do bad, bad comes back to me. It's all about ebbing and flowing. Nothing gets handed to you in life, but we're all giving opportunities whether we're aware of it or not, and how we react and how hard we work determines our outcome.

Well then to my understanding youve used the word karma but have it a different definition. correct me if I'm wrong of course

It's a complicated concept. I believe in the karmic cycle where we'll continue making the same mistakes over the course of our life until we learn from them and do the opposite of what we did in the past. So like, someone steals your lunch, you slap them, someone steals your lunch again, you slap them, etc. until the day someone steals your lunch and you laugh at them and it stops happening. Maybe I'm jumbling concepts myself.

To my understanding karma simply put is "Do good and only good happens to you" and vice versa

Others have discribed as the literal trasfer of good in bad out somewhere else.

yeah that's the most common definition. i think it's deeper than that though. maybe i'm meshing it with the laws of attraction, but to me, they go together.
