I was watching the History Channel late last night and they were talking about some other woman that was in the Garden before Eve...

Apparently, her name is Lillith and she got into an argument with Adam and then left the Garden. After that she became evil and turned into a succubus typething. They said this story was in one account of the bible in the book of Genesis. I did some research and some people just say it is a myth and the story isjust poor translation.

I have never heard about this and I am a Christian. Has anyone else ever heard of this?

I watched this on the history channel too.

Im pretty sure it was called Banned from the Bible.

lol at people calling ducktales on ducktales.

no i've never heard that. i'm a Christian, but sometimes i think the bible is a written form of the game telephone that has been played over thousandsof years, things are bound to be misunderstood left out or forgotten along the way. i don't think God will fault us for what we truly have no way ofknowing. at least i hope...

@ these new bible "stories" and "theories"all over the place.

Yeah I've heard about the Lilith Theory...call her the first feminist, so to speak...

Essentially, she refused to be subjugated and be obedient to "man"...and for that she was banished/cursed/forced out of Eden to make way for a moreobedient female (EVE)...

Story is, whenever a man has a nocturnal emission, it's because Lilith is sucking him dry...his soul...because in biblical teachings...nocturnal emissionsare sinful...and Lilith is the sin behind that

This is why Lilith is considered a succubus...

...

well ill be honest with you, i did not smash. had adam been a g, he could have had both them broads.

i've done a lot of bible research. in the bible, from what i understand... God "made man AND woman" on one of the days. it then repeats and saysthat God "made a woman FROM Adam and for Adam." this eludes to the words that there were two separate creations of a woman. somewhere in betweenthose two events is where the story of lillith fits in. she was deemed as the world's first feminist.

there has been numerous historical accounts that were not included in the bible. if you want to read some stuff, you should start with the apocryphal text. itis pretty interesting and i would be glad to share my research on what i have read.

Well it could be from one of the many banned books that didn't make the final cut of what we call the bible. Book of Enoch, ect..

There are...if you analyze the creation stories for the sake of history, it's clear that each creation story was written by two differentpeople.

I took a class called "The Bible" a few semesters ago and we covered this. Apparently, one of the creation stories is believed to be written by afarmer or someone involved in agriculture and the second is believed to be written by someone that lived near the coast--most likely a fisherman. VICEVERSA...can't exactly remember which is which...

This is exactly what I believe. People are being very naive if they don't realize this. There'stons of things that were left out or changed when different versions of the Bible were printed. Especially in the King James version...

That's exactly what the Bible is. Plus, it was written by men with motives. And revised and revised. I'm not saying there's anythinginherently wrong with this but just don't think think it's written by Jesus himself. Anyways, don't wanna get off topic.

At both of you fools for believing that everything has to be mutually exclusive. Go believe in science and have God smite you. Or go believe inGod and have him tell you that he left science for us.
