I don't mean to repeat any other topics, but as I looked through some posts today, I was kinda saddened by the things I saw. I am sure a few people wouldagree with me when I say that the state of the shoe game as we know it is at one of its lowest points right now. I feel as though the fight against fakes isin a way being aided by the greed of Jordan Brand. All of these new shoes and Fusion concepts are playing right into a system that real Sneakerheads fight sohard against on a daily basis. All of these new colors and styles of shoes seem as though they come directly off of some bootleg website that knocks off theclassics we cherish for $69.99. JB is becoming the cop who confiscates drugs, then takes them home and uses them. Not to mention the oversaturation of themarket, coming out with 4 and 5 pairs of the same shoe in different colors on the same day, every other weekend. What ever happened to the time when J'scame out once a month, and 99% of the time they were sold out within a few hours because they were a hot shoe, and everybody wanted to have them. Now buying apair of Jordans is liking picking up a hit or miss pair of AF1's. There are no more lines, no more of those good vibes you used to be able to get standingin line with other shoeheads sharing stories of other times they'd been in line trying to get the latest pair. Buying Jordans was more than just gettingsome shoes, you bought into the whole culture of the shoe, it gave us a way to relate to people we never imagined we would ever speak to. I have not postedmuch on NT, but I am certainly not a newb, I've been reading info on this forum for over 5 years now, and in that time so much has changed. Again, Iapologize if this subject has been discussed, but I would appreciate any views, opinions, and feedback.

Good post b. But no matter how we, "sneakerheads" feel. Nike/Jordan Brand is out to make money, and these hybrids are doing it. We only make up aoercentage of the market, and the stuff we don't buy, other poeple will. I agree with you on everything you said, but I have realized that nothing is goingto change.

I could care less about the lines that there were,
im happy those are gone,, yeah BRAND J's quality may not be what it was,
but they blow any fakes in terms of quality out the water......

Perfect analogy.It's like every fake I saw in '06, is now an official release. I feel you ,bro. To be perfectly honest, I don't think the shoe game will ever bethe same. Too many releases, too many fusions/hybrids, too many wack colorways and way too many noobs supporting this wack s**t. Now for og heads it's allabout getting what's worth buying and getting out.

And to The J Collector, I understand what you are saying. I wasn't really talking about the quality of the shoes vs. fakes, because as bad as JB is now, Idon't think they will ever be that bad, but the whole concept of these hybrids and fusions is something that has been around for a while, JB just kindatook it and ran with it. I just think it is in the wrong direction, and right now they are destroying a legacy.
 
These are some of the reasons I havent bought any Js in over 8 months.....

It will continue to be like this becasue no matter what someone will buy what they put out. if they were to see a dro pin their sales becasue we decided tohold onto our cash then they would wake up and give us what we want. Its al labout the money as long as they have buyers they will make what ever they want.They noticed forces at one point were very popular. so what did they do they tried to bring in the air force fan and jordan fan through the distribution offusions. I mean they are truly shoing no signs of respect for the customers as they feel they are in control and can produce what they want and how they wantbecasue we will all buy it. I mean it truly isnt that hard for us as a community to get what we want, all we need to do is stand up for what w ebelieve for imean it is our money. It truly makes no sense for people to complai nabout the quality or items coming out and then copping it. I mean if you dont like it donot cop and hoepfully the neck man woman or child will do the same and that will waken jordan up. I mean come one this fall with releases rumored to be the"Flu Game" 12 White Red 12s, SPace Jams, and so forth no matter how poor the quality people are going to cop and thern complain. I mean why? I dontget th epoint if the quality is that bad al lw eneed to do is stop i mean we started all of this and we can end it. Change can come but it starts with you.

Everything you said is true. But you must not forget, the people who are bothered by quality, colorways ect. are the minority. We could all stopbuying shoes today and JB wouldn't even notice. Because the majority of their profits come from people who don't know, don't care or justhaven't been educated.

Exactly, I havent bought anything that released in stores in about a year and a half
I've only been buying sneakers from 2002 and older
 
i wanted to add i met a lot of people just because of shoes, i like meeting OG heads that aren't in it for the money. homeboy alex hooked me up with a pairof carmines he didn't want for 150. its those peole that make everything fun and different. networking just to cop a pair of kicks. i mean i have a connectat HOH in chicago now. just because i did him a favor

Yup. a lot of people who don't access sneaker forums will still buy the shoes because it's a Jordan shoe. That's one of the main reasons why peopleend up buying fakes. They don't know better in terms of quality/color/shape/etc. but the jumpman is what's selling the shoes for them. This also, HYPEcan lead to these lower quality sneakers because Jordan Brand can make more money from us by spending less money on materials.
 
i dunno what to say, when i look at old releases before i was really into it i get sad by all the sb and jordans i could have had then but now cant afford, butthere are still good shoes coming out, there is still fun to be had, grails to seek, steals to persue and heat to rock! it is what is is so lets make the bestof it
 
I feel u 1000% bruh. Our sneaker communities are being bombarded by Hybeasts, horrible Jb quality, Fusions/hybrids, and fakes. And the bad part is, there isnot much we can do about it, all we can do is jus look for a light at the end of the dark tunnel. Nice post bruh, i actually read this whole thing.
