Do you have more money in Savings than your Checking Account? Vol. 1

I only have like 12 bucks in my checking

I keep everything in my savings, only put money in the checking when I need to.

Keep some cash around, so I don't have to use my debit or credit card often

Three accounts

Checking: Monthly expenses, rent, car not, food, gas. The rest of my check gets put here after I pay my other accounts first. I make sure I have enough andbudget everything I do according to what I make and KNOW for sure I have to spend.

Savings: Your "savings" account isn't really a savings account since a lot of people end up taking money and putting back money pretty liberallywith this account (we're all guilty of this) I use this for my big expenses, (funded second after Rainy day account) These are for the big expenses I KNOWwill happen. Car repair, yearly insurance payment, registration, vacation and other big things.

Rainy Day Account: This is the account I pay first with my check. THIS ACCOUNT DOES NOT GET TOUCHED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, and is meant for extreme cases ofemergency, ie job loss.
