Been listening to the album all week. This album definitely requires more than a few hears in order to appreciate it for all it is, from the lyrics to the melodies. Early on I felt like I was forcing myself to like it since Cole is my guy, but it really is very intricate and witty from the wordplay to the melodies. I will still rate it second to Born Sinner, but this project is great in its own way.

Cole is definitely an enlightened dude, and I definitely respect his opinion, but I disagree with his take on capitalism in that Angie interview. He's right in that there are flaws with capitalism, but no system is completely perfect for everyone. Granted he did say he didn't know/understand the alternatives, but a capitalist society sure as hell beats a socialist / totalitarian society and I really think in this case, understanding what the other options were really shows why capitalism is the most logical system (freedom & oppurtunity ftw). Most countries use it (and for a reason), and the handful that don't...you can just see from their economic status/ average living means of the people that it's not working out (countries like North Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, etc.) No disrespect to Cole, but society isn't perfect, perfection isn't reality and I think he could've done a bit more research to understand why things are the way they are. The things he's talking/venting about are indeed because of the system, and sometimes, it's just the way it is(because again it's not perfect for everyone and not everyone thinks the same, many issues are subjective in nature), but captialism sure as hell beats the other options. He's right when he's critiquing and criticizing the flaws, but I think it's a little off base when looking at the big picture.

After to listening to the album all the way through in the car,.....this is Coles best body of work since the warm up. I thought born sinner was better at first, but this album is so :smokin Cadillactica and 2014 are all I've listened to since I bought them

Nah Meek salty he can't touch anyone from an intellectual standpoint like Cole can and does. That Ambition verse was as deep as it gets from him.

Not even remotely the same thing. Nor is Capitalism the only economy that provides freedom/opportunity

North Korea, and Cuba are not Socialist Economies. They are Communist economies.

Communism = Equal Output for everyone.... Socialism =/= Equal Output for everyone. If you want reference to what Socialism is, look at Western Europe

And even then, there's a hell of a lot of socialism in this country. And in all actuality, it was socialism that has held the economy together since the Great Depression.

Alonzo gif.

Cole's performance and whole promo campaign for 2014 FHD more inspiring than anything Meek has done minus his intro

If anything, Meek should feel uninspired by his boss ROsay last trash album that was Hood Billionaire.

Y'all _s love to take **** and run with it for y'all entertainment, I'm sure if Meek had an issue with Cole he would call him out by name. Why would y'all even think he was talking about Cole in the first place? unless y'all felt that the shoe fit...

Agreed. Last I check they were cool. Cole was supposed to be on that "I been waiting on this day since I was 16" track, or at least the remix as well as Burn with Big Sean.

I know they're not the same thing, my mistake should've put  & or an or instead of a /, was just typing.  Yes, North Korea & the others are communist & a totalitarian state (totalitarian was what I meant for communism, again was just typing). I keep infusing economics and politics, but from an political standpoint, communism is the furthest thing from equality. Maybe the ideals were alright when you're in a perfect society, but when applied to real life, you can just see all the problems.

There's traces of many different types of economic systems everywhere. Almost every country  is mixed anyways (i.e sure the U.S has traces of socialism, but there's also no denying how there is obviously also capitalism, same with Western Europe, obviously has capitalism too). It's all up to your interpretation and it's all pretty subjective. I definitely understand what you're saying though, and I keep getting poltics=economy, when politics=/economy necessarily.
