Kobe is better than MJ because he had 3 trees (Odom, Gasol, and Bynum) in the middle, and was swept by the Dallas Mavericks at the age of 32!!! I don't recall MJ getting swept in the playoffs when he was in his 30s and I don't recall MJ having 3 trees to toss the rock to in the paint throughout MJ's playoff career...yeah Kobe is better than MJ because Kobe is so clutch!!!

It's true. The Lakers are always relevant. The Bulls are finally now a contender after 13 years. NOT a champion, just a contender. The Lakers will most likely stay a championship calibre team. Even when they fade away, it's no more than 5 years until they become a contender again.

they made it back to the finals in 89, won 63 games in 90, went to the finals in 91,  then magic got aids early in the 91-92 season.  they were a for sure contender up until 91,    4 years later they were in the 2nd round again and 5 years later they got shaq and in 98 they won 61 games.   between 1988-00  the only time they were really down was between 91-92  through 93-94

i remember when shaq got traded and my good pal sneakerpro predicted the mavs would win a title before the lakers would. guess what? we got 2 titles. hope the mavs can get their first this year. with lebron and wade this might be their last chance at a ring. once bron and wade get the taste ofwinning a title its lights out for the rest of the league...

I'm a Laker hater and a pretty big Mav fan but that was BY FAR the best day in my Laker hating career. This is a close second though.
