The rapper's estate, located on Beverly Hill's Crescent Drive, has been described by estate agent Realtor.com as "a rare offering."

Although the two-story house boasts 35,000 sq ft of space - including six bedrooms, four bathrooms and a detached garage - experts say the house is a "teardown."

A source said: "It's a great location, but the building is pretty dated. It's really just on the market for the land, so the buyer can tear down the house and build a new one."

Meanwhile, Kanye's long-term rival 50 Cent has offered his condolences over the death of his mother Dr. Donda West, who died on November 10 the day after undergoing cosmetic surgery.

50 said: "That's really an unfortunate situation and I hope he can work his way through it. It's good to see him actually touring."

"You can work your way back into a comfortable space where you can deal with those situations."

"Kanye's relationship with his mom had a lot more depth to it than a lot of people's. He was really close to his mom."

"I hope that he can work his through his way through it. If you're active, you'll find reasons to smile, reasons to be happy."

The rapper's mother was laid to rest on Tuesday (Nov 20, 2007) after an intimate ceremony at Oklahoma's True Vine Ministries Church.

People sell real estate all the time...But stars sell to capitalize on their name. And he is doing just that. 8.7 mill, whoa...

What does 50 Cent's opinion on Kanye's mother's death have anything to do with the house being on market.

i find this sad that the realtors to add value to the listing and detach themselves from "rapper" home, they call it a teardown. as if because arapper lived there their friends and family of the prospective buyers will ridicule them if they don't tear it down.

but in the same light if an actor or most importantly a 'musician' lived there, the age of the house would be represented as historic, and a staple ofbeverly hills, which in actuality it truly is.

to add insult to injury they attach comments from his recent 'oppenent' (one of a battle the media ignited and ran with), just to make it seem like the"rapper" is falling apart, which all and all was their focus of "news."

I find you sad. I have no idea where you got the impression that it was a "tear down" because a rapper owned it.

Also, him selling his house isn't a big story, so they added in an update about his family situation. A 3 line article isn't as appealing as one with a"long-term rival".

^^ the article clearly states
[qoute]Experts say, the property is considered a teardown.[/qoute]

and after reading on a few more sites kanye is selling it with plans for a two story house to be built on it by a famous architect. So maybe i spoke to soon, but again one can only infer from that small blip of information, that its only intention was to portray someone not doing to good and a weak point in theirlife.

which followed by MY OPINION after reading it.

you can have your opinion to.

i just am not naive to believe that the media is not out to set a tone by the new they report and how they report it. None of the other blogs choose to usethose extra jabs from 50 cent that he commented on LAST week. Just seems to me like a low blow from someone who has video of being on stage with whitesunglasses gyrating with implications of homosexual activities and mannerisms.

edit: correction heres the link of the interview they got the comments from, which were taken from 50 on tuesday the 20th http://allhiphop.com/blogs/news/archive/2007/11/22/18916615.aspx 4 days on the internetis considered OLD news, no need to bring those comments up to hip hop listeners because, they've read it since it was posted, unless you are trying toappeal to another market by adding it to the news posts. which again backs my sentiment after reading that blip of info.

also heres the video of 50 cent in the white sunglasses. im sure there is a better one from his recently dropped dvdsomewhere. all in good fun but still a low blow after this.
