There's different shoes for different occasions. I wear my JB's to ball, mostly. When I go to the mall (once a month), I normally wear JB's. Foreverything else (dinner, bar, club, work) I wear designer shoes. For a couple of reasons; I don't want my JB's to get scuffed/dirty, especially whenpeople would hardly notice, and they don't fit the occasion. Jordan's are basketball shoes, I primarily wear them for their function, playingbasketball.
For those that hate designer shoes, how about some hybrids; Cole Haan/Nike Air G-series?

depends what environment you like and the way you dress. High end clothing goes with high end shoes (Prada shirt does not work with Jordans) so if you are intowearing that and going to places with a strict dress code, that will be your choice. If you favor urban clothing then Jordans are the best match.

well Jordans always been luxury basketball shoes...
im probably one of da few who think that jordans should just be 300-400 a pair but have nothing but da most highest quality leathers and materials.

Honestly I don't think ALL designer shoes are bad, but the kanye west's are probably the ugliest shoes ive ever seen. I think people like them becauseof the hype behind them. I think jordans have a different type of style though, you can wear them with basketball shorts or a dress shirt. Which is howmichael wanted them to be. I think you would get more attention for a clean pair of J's then a high end designer shoe. But to each is own, just myopinion.

shoes really suffer from a design standpoint today, hence all the retros and 'bailout' fusions.
to me Jordan's are still luxury for BASKETBALL shoes... but i'm not seeing JB set any trends like they used to.

I like Prada the American Cup are sick! especially if u r going to chill with ladies. The Prada boots are also sick. I do consider JB a luxury brand and to methe most popular and classic Jays of all time will be the Air Jordan 1's. THough I am a big fan of the VI's and XI's the I's to me are simplevery simple if u ask me but on top of the list of Luxury heck all the OG colorways used to go for several thousands there is not another sneaker from anyjordan collection that has more value than an OG Jordan 1 colorway.

I've had a career for almost ten years now so theirs been little time for Jordans. I spend my money these days on Italian made
oxfords/dress boots, or bench made English footwear. They are more expensive, but quality shoes last a lifetime and can be easily repaired...plus a lot moreuseful than a Jordan sneaker.
I mostly use for what they were made for...running, gaming, ect. But becauses of the quality, Jordans are not at the top of the list when it comes to spendingmy hard earned money.
I do still wear sneakers, but it's quality over brand these days.

quality-wise, jordan can't compare obviously. but styling and looks-wise, i've always though that the majority of those designer sneaks were
